South Sea, Mount Luojia.

Bodhisattva Guanyin sat quietly. In front of her, a woman could be seen practicing cultivation with an aura of auspicious qi enveloping her.

"Bodhisattva, Gaoyang has quite a high aptitude, doesn't she? Her rate of growth is much faster than mine was at her age!"

At the side of Bodhisattva Guanyin, the Pearl Holding Dragon Maiden also observed the female cultivator and suddenly spoke up.

"Indeed, such aptitude is truly extraordinary," Bodhisattva Guanyin agreed with a nod upon hearing this.

However, as soon as she said this, she sighed gently: "What a pity..."

"Bodhisattva, what is a pity?" The Pearl Holding Dragon Maiden standing nearby happened to hear Guanyin's sigh and asked in surprise.

"It's nothing. You have been doing quite well in instructing Gaoyang these past days. From now on, I'll leave her in your care!"

Shaking her head, Guanyin Bodhisattva resumed her calm demeanor, whispered instructions, and the Pearl Holding Dragon Maiden nodded in response.

Just then, a young and robust man approached with an extraordinary bearing, bowed to Guanyin, and said, "Bodhisattva!"

"Muzha, what news do you bring?" Looking at the sturdy man approaching, Bodhisattva Guanyin's eyelids lifted slightly as she asked.

"To report to the Bodhisattva, I've just received news from the Underworld: the soul of the Dragon King of Jing River, who was suppressed under Knife Mountain, has been rescued!" Muzha replied.

"Someone has rescued the soul of the Dragon King of Jing River? Who was it? Do you have any information?" Hearing this, Guanyin's expression changed slightly.

Although the Dragon King of Jing River was not of great significance, his existence was important to the Buddhist sect, serving as living proof.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"According to King of Biancheng, the one who witnessed the rescue of the Dragon King's soul was a monkey, identical to the Great Sage Equalling Heaven, Sun Wukong, but that monkey claimed that it was not Sun Wukong, instead calling itself the Six-Eared Macaque!"

Muzha spoke, then proceeded to recount in detail what had happened in the Underworld to Guanyin.

"The Six-Eared Macaque? I have never heard of it," Guanyin frowned slightly, murmuring to herself.

But this was an important matter and deserved thorough investigation.

The Journey to the West was a grand scheme, whether it was Sun Wukong or Xuanzang, both were players within it.

Especially Xuanzang, who agreed to seek scriptures in the West, yet he was unaware that everything was arranged and calculated by the Buddhist sect. If he learned something from the Dragon King of Jing River, it would not be good news.

With a thought, Bodhisattva Guanyin left Mount Luojia and flew directly towards the Westward Pilgrims.

This matter was best investigated personally; if the one who took the Dragon King's soul was indeed the so-called Six-Eared Macaque, it was merely an unknown hidden figure.

But if it was Sun Wukong, then the situation grew more mysterious.

...

Let's leave Guanyin's actions aside for now. Back at Yunzhai Cave, Jiang Liu grew inwardly anxious after learning that Sun Wukong's identity had been exposed.

He was well aware that this matter would definitely attract the serious attention of the Buddhist sect since he too had been pretending not to be aware of the sect's hidden maneuvers for a long time.

"Wukong, I have a very urgent task that I need you to do now!" Jiang Liu's face was extremely serious as he beckoned lightly.

Normally, Sun Wukong would be sure to seize this chance to negotiate terms and engage in banter with Jiang Liu.

However, this time, seeing the unprecedented seriousness on Jiang Liu's face, Sun Wukong realized the importance of what he was about to say, offered no objections, and nodded as he leaned in to listen.

As he listened to Jiang Liu, Sun Wukong's expression changed continuously: first surprise, then shock, and finally a nod of understanding.

He then leaped up and vanished from sight.

After finishing his ablutions, Zhu Bajie was also woken up and came to wash reluctantly, joining to have breakfast together.

"Hey, Master, where's Eldest Disciple Brother?"

Although the Scripture Seeker had not yet officially taken him as a disciple, Zhu Bajie had been calling Jiang Liu 'Master' every day in an attempt to badger him. After stuffing two buns into his mouth, not seeing Sun Wukong around, Zhu Bajie asked in surprise.

"I don't know, he left on a cloud early this morning!" Jiang Liu shook his head, equally puzzled.

"Oh, Master, I find that monkey has a lot of malice. It's not good to take him on the Journey to the West. I think you should send him back where he came from. Look, these past few days all he does is covet my ears!"

Noticing that Sun Wukong was not in Yunzhai Cave, Zhu Bajie spoke up, snitching to Jiang Liu.

Thinking of Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie felt as if his ears were throbbing with pain.

However, as Zhu Bajie finished speaking, Jiang Liu looked behind him with a somewhat strange expression.

Seeing the look on Jiang Liu's face, Zhu Bajie felt a sudden jolt in his heart and turned his head stiffly, only to see a skinny monkey standing behind him, staring at him with cold eyes.

Even though the monkey was short and thin, Zhu Bajie, even while sitting, was taller than him, but a thin layer of sweat had formed on Zhu Bajie's forehead nonetheless.

"You smelly pig, always speaking ill of me, Old Sun, behind my back. It looks like you're tired of having those big ears of yours!"

Showing his teeth, Sun Wukong appeared to be extremely angry as he picked up a small knife and slashed at Zhu Bajie's big ear, his expression fierce and ruthless.

Usually, although he liked to pull his own ears, he had some restraint, but today he took out a knife, which alarmed Zhu Bajie. He struggled violently to break free from Sun Wukong's grasp and quickly hid behind Jiang Liu, wailing, "Master, Master, please save Old Pig! Brother truly wants to cut off my ears!"

"Wukong, it's all fun and games, but what are you doing? Put down the knife at once!" Jiang Liu, too, had a startled look as he spoke sternly to Sun Wukong. Continue your journey on empire

"You little monk, step aside! Old Sun's in a bad mood today and fancies a taste of pig's ears!"

Usually, as his master, Jiang Liu's scolding would be enough to keep Sun Wukong in line, but today, Sun Wukong gave no regard to his master's dignity, speaking irritably.

"What did you say!?" Sun Wukong's attitude shocked Jiang Liu, who could hardly believe his own ears.

"Old Sun means this!"

Today, Sun Wukong was indeed ferocious. Seeing Jiang Liu standing in his way, he showed no courtesy as he struck him directly.

Second Ms. Luan and the others wanted to intervene, but they couldn't even get close, being repelled by a strong burst of demon qi.

...

In the sky, Guanyin Bodhisattva sat upon the Lotus Platform, flying forward at a great speed. She happened to see a streak of escape light that was moving even faster than her in the same direction.

Clearly, the escape light had also noticed the presence of Guanyin Bodhisattva, and so it slowed down in midair to fly alongside her.

It was Sun Wukong, who had a peach tree branch on his shoulder with seven or eight large peaches hanging from it.

"Wukong? Why are you here instead of protecting Xuanzang on his Journey to the West?" Guanyin's heart tensed slightly as she questioned the monkey flying beside her.

Was Sun Wukong not by Xuanzang's side? Could the person who went to the Underworld really be him?

Instead of answering immediately, Sun Wukong plucked the smallest peach from the branch he was carrying and tossed it towards Guanyin.

Catching the peach, Guanyin examined it and then looked at Sun Wukong, saying, "What's this? A peach from the Flower Fruit Mountain?"

"Right, Old Sun has been out for quite a while and hasn't returned to Flower Fruit Mountain. I happened to feel homesick, so I popped over to see how the monkeys and their offspring were doing and brought back some peaches from the Flower Fruit Mountain," Sun Wukong said, nodding his head in explanation.

As he spoke, Sun Wukong also asked Guanyin, "Where might Bodhisattva be going?"

"I'm just passing by chance. You, monkey, if you don't take good care of Xuanzang during the scripture seeking, and run back to Flower Fruit Mountain in the middle of the night, if your master is captured by a demon, how will you deal with that?" After explaining, Guanyin reproachingly spoke to Sun Wukong.

"Hehe, Bodhisattva, don't worry; it's all good. Aren't the White Dragon Horse and Zhu Bajie still there?" Sun Wukong scratched his head and jokingly replied.

After a brief chat between Sun Wukong and Guanyin, with their speed, they soon arrived at Fuling Mountain.

But before Sun Wukong and Guanyin could descend, they suddenly heard a familiar wailing, "Eh? What happened; why is Master sitting on the ground, sobbing uncontrollably?" Glancing below, Sun Wukong exclaimed in surprise and descended from the clouds.

Seeing this scene, Guanyin was also taken aback and decided to hide in the clouds to watch secretly.

"Master, what's wrong?" Landing, Sun Wukong asked Jiang Liu.

"Good for you, you rascal monkey! How dare you come back! Didn't you say you were going to your Flower Fruit Mountain? Why did you come back!?" Upon seeing Sun Wukong, Jiang Liu yelled furiously.

"Master, although Old Sun sneaked off to Flower Fruit Mountain, here I am, back again. What's with your bruised face? Who did this to you?" Sun Wukong asked in total bewilderment.

"Well, aren't you the great actor? Wasn't it you who just hit me? The White Dragon Horse and Bajie saw you do it!"

Covering his swollen face, Jiang Liu spoke irritably.

"Old Sun, Old Sun only just got back. How could I have hit you? Guanyin Bodhisattva can vouch for me. Bodhisattva, please come down and testify for Old Sun!" By the end, Sun Wukong was shouting towards the clouds.

Since Sun Wukong had called out, Guanyin no longer stayed hidden and descended.

"Have you all seen that it was Wukong's doing?"

After descending, Guanyin was a bit confused as she addressed Zhu Bajie and the White Dragon Horse.
