CH.527 Generic Pack Opening chapter title number #11
CH.527 Generic Pack Opening chapter title number #11
Today I guess I can start with an update on my Rank-Up-Magic collection, as well as my list of Utopia monsters. And some info I found out about the Numeron Code part of Pack Opener.
In terms of new Rank-Ups, I now had Quick Chaos, Astral Force, Doom Double Force and The Seventh One.
Quick Chaos is nothing special, just ranking up the monster. No special anything to it. It is alright, but I think some of the other Rank-Ups that ‘force’ a specific evolution path are better.
Astral Force is cool because it is a double rank-up, but that’s about it.
Doom Double Force has its own problems, mainly that it only works on monsters with wings, even after Alice Erasure Magiced parts of it. On the other hand, it resurrects the monster and doubles its rank, so … yeah. It goes crazy. But it does have its problems. Mainly the fact that ranking up a monster that quickly is apparently very dissociating for them, because they aren’t used to their power.
All Rank-Ups do that to an extent, but things like Doom Double Force do it way worse. That is one of the reasons I don’t rank monsters up too quickly. I rank them up, then give them time to adjust, then rank them up again.
I guess you could compare it to having like 20 Level Ups used on you all at the same time. You just won’t be used to your new power and it can cause some issues.
Last, The Seventh One. It is dumb. It forces these strange evolution paths onto monsters that make them closer to one of the 101 to 107 numbers. It isn’t a good Rank-Up to use on a monster, and I won’t be using it on any.
But what it does do well is summoning the 101 to 107 Numbers. Because after Alice so kindly removed the restriction where I have to draw it during my draw phase, I was able to just activate the card to summon out the Chaos form of any of the 101 to 107 Numbers.
Naturally they were summoned without a sleeve or anything, so they would disappear after the summoning, but I can return them to the Collection with a card, and keep the monster permanently.
Sadly, there was a small problem. I didn’t get the regular version, only the Chaos version. So I now had all the Chaos versions of 101 to 107, but lacked the regular versions.
I naturally summoned all seven using the ‘normal materials’, so they would count for the Xyz summoning challenge. Sadly, they don’t have their additional effects when summoned that way, but if I need those effects, I can just summon them with The Seventh One.
Now to my Utopia stuff, before I show the progress of the Xyz challenge.
The new ones I’ve gotten are Number 39: Utopia Beyond, Number 39: Utopia Rising, Number 93: Utopia Kaiser, Number 99: Utopia Dragonar, Ultimate Dragonic Utopia Ray and Ultimate Leo Utopia Ray.
And while I’m not completely sure I have all the Utopias, I think I do.
Now to the Xyz Summoning Challenge.

Next Reward is given at 15 unique Xyz Monsters |
Next Reward: Infernal Flame Banshee + Overlay Network |
[Claim Reward] |
That was my 15 reward. The monster is nothing special, but Overlay Network is really nice. I should be able to get the regular versions of 101 to 107 to my Collection, since when I summon the Chaos variants with The Seventh One, since they will have the OG as an overlay unit, and I can use Overlay Network to return the overlay units to my Collection.
For 20, I got The Phantom Knights of Break Sword and Xyz Override.
And then, for 25, I got Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon and Cipher Interference.
And can I just say, I love GEDefinitely General Electric, not Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon. Honestly, I like the entire Cipher archetype. Sadly it isn’t that good, but it just fills me with that warm goodness of punching someone with a 10,000 attack point dragon.
And this duo is definitely a part of that equation. Along with Cipher Ascension and Neo Cipher Dragon. I already have the RUM, so I just need the Neo Dragon. Hopefully the XYZ challenge can give it to me.

But yeah. That is my Xyz situation. Now the the Numeron Code.
So, with the Numeron Code, I figured out how it gains power.
Basically, I need to have each Number from 1 to 100, right? But the thing is, having multiple different Number monsters with the same Number, aka. all my Utopia variants that are all Number 39, don’t count towards upgrading the Numeron Code.
Also, Chaos Numbers unlock the other side of the Numeron Code, or what I’ll just call the Barian’s Code for simplicity sake. The Barian’s Code has its own features, but the only one I have at the moment is the Rank-Up feature. It does what you think it does. By using a bit of ‘Xyz energy’, I can Rank-Up a monster. Either a card based one, or ‘in the world’ monster. It has no limitations, no specialities, or anything like that. It is nice to have, but most of the time, using a Rank-Up-Magic is better.
Speaking of Rank-Ups, my dear horse Rani is getting her second Rank-Up. I’m again using Numeron Force for it.
And with it, Rani evolved from a Wild Horse into a War Horse.
It didn’t change her much. Her muscles bulged a bit, and her body structure redefined to be better. She also grew a bit larger, but she was still just a large horse, not anything huge.
But now, time for some more packs. Because I want to. still has some god cards I want.
STOR 1
Resonator Engine; Token Sundae; Solemn Authority; Tiki Curse; Divine Wind of Mist Valley; Odin's Eye; Worm Illidan; Atomic Scrap Dragon; Foolish Return
Ultra rare in the first pack is nice. … but it is a repeat, so less nice. In fact, there is nothing new in the first pack. But an ultra rare is still nice.
Next pack.
STOR 2
Nordic Relic Laevateinn; Shien's Scheme; Odin's Eye; Worm Jetelikpse; Worm Illidan; Cosmic Compass; Nordic Relic Brisingamen; Tiki Curse; Musakani Magatama
Worm Jetelikpse is pretty meh. Sure it summons itself back, but that is only after being flipped face-up and getting destroyed by battle.
Cosmic Compass is great for Link spamming, but I don’t exactly Link spam. It is alright for Synchro plays as well, but I think Links are where it really shines.Note: I actually assumed Cosmic Compass was banned, because summoning potentially 4 tokens that you can use for anything seemed too broken in the Link age. But apparently it isn’t.
And Musakani Magatama is a pretty basic counter trap. It is good, but I have seven others that do the exact same thing.
Next pack.
STOR 3
Mimir of the Nordic Ascendant; Karakuri Ninja mdl 919 "Kuick"; Worm Illidan; Shien's Squire; Zero Force; Nordic Relic Draupnir; Six Strike - Triple Impact; Hourglass of Courage; Dverg of the Nordic Alfar
Shien's Squire is really situational, but battle indestructibility isn’t bad.
Six Strike - Triple Impact is a wannabe Raigeki and Feather Duster. And I can just use the OG variants.
Dverg of the Nordic Alfar is a Loki tuner, but even outside of that, it isn’t bad. An additional normal summon is meaningless to me, as is the recovery of a Nordic Relic, but it is still an okay monster.
Next pack.
STOR 4
Divine Wind of Mist Valley; Tiki Soul; Terminal World; Cosmic Compass; Kagemusha of the Six Samurai; Divine Relic Mjollnir; Token Sundae; Wattberyx; Gleipnir, the Fetters of Fenrir
Tiki Soul is nice, for a Trap Monster deck. Curse is arguably a bit better, but you run both in the deck anyway.
Divine Relic Mjollnir is fine. Double attacking isn’t that amazing, especially since Divine Relic Mjollnir is a Trap, not a Quick-Play Spell.
Wattberyx is about as bad as most other Watts. As in, it can work, but most likely, it will get electrocuted.
Gleipnir, the Fetters of Fenrir is the name card of my fenrir summon, so great to have it in the Collection. And it is a great card. And it would be so much better if it wasn’t a Trap. It really should have a condition where you can activate it on the turn you set it if you control a Nordic or Aesir monster. Well, you run 3 anyway, because it is the best you got.
Next pack.
STOR 5
Needle Ball; Token Sundae; Cyber Shield; Ljosalf of the Nordic Alfar; Worm Jetelikpse; Barrier Resonator; Token Stampede; Legendary Six Samurai - Shinai; Dverg of the Nordic Alfar
Cyber Shield is new. Honestly thought I had it already, but apparently I don’t. Well, whatever. It is a super meh equip. Only attack and not even that much. I have better equip cards.
… But at the same time, I can gender and race swap myself to be a female Bird-folk. … so I could do a Harpie Lady cosplay. Well, I’ll probably do that in the Factory. No point in wasting resources on useless stuff like that.
Next pack.
STOR 6
Mimir of the Nordic Ascendant; Ljosalf of the Nordic Alfar; Karakuri Ninja mdl 919 "Kuick"; Garmr of the Nordic Beasts; Cyber Shield; Blackwing - Calima the Haze; Token Stampede; Tiki Soul; Foolish Return
All repeats, next.
STOR 7
Legendary Six Samurai - Mizuho; Nordic Relic Draupnir; Needle Ball; Divine Relic Mjollnir; Top Runner; Nordic Relic Brisingamen; Blood Sucker; Zero Force; Doppelwarrior
Nothing new, Next.
STOR 8
Cosmic Compass; Top Runner; Zero Force; Blackwing - Calima the Haze; Worm Illidan; Tiki Curse; Mimir of the Nordic Ascendant; Token Sundae; Shien's Daredevil
Shien's Daredevil is okay. Nothing special, but he isn’t bad.
Next pack.
STOR 9
Divine Relic Mjollnir; Worm Illidan; Solemn Authority; Blackboost; Vylon Matter; Resonator Engine; Token Sundae; Karakuri Ninja mdl 919 "Kuick"; Asceticism of the Six Samurai
Asceticism of the Six Samurai looks really cool, and it's decent. In the TCG. For me, it might be better. It should, since it summons from the deck, summon random Six Samurai monsters, including ones I can’t even get yet. And those cards are always the most busted for my use.
Last pack.
STOR 10
Karakuri Cash Cache; Tiki Soul; Mimir of the Nordic Ascendant; Karakuri Watchdog mdl 313 "Saizan"; Tiki Curse; Yaksha; Blood Sucker; Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En; Overpowering Eye
Great pack to end on. Two new cards.
Overpowering Eye is fine. Direct attacking is nice. But it might also give me some new Vision based skill, and that could be cool, so I’ll have to run a Factory test with it.
Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En on the other hand is just a good monster. Once per turn negate of a Spell or Trap, nice. Can prevent its own destruction by destroying another Six Samurai, nice. Good stats for the level, nice. It just is a good monster.
But that is all for today. See you next time.
