"Hm…." – Phantasia stared at his anvil as well as hammer and piece of metal. Phantasia lifted his hammer, but then quickly slowed down, retracting his current though and putting the hammer down.

"What the hell should I make for that dwarf to judge…. I cannot make anything weak, since I need to show off." – said Phantasia after walking away from his anvil and then taking out the list of the materials from the list that he is allowed the use.

"…. I can easily create rare rarity item with those materials…. But again, what should I make?"

"Making rare rarity item is one thing, but it cannot be some trash or anything like that…. I need to think…. And by it, I mean a lot."

(The dwarf wants to see my creativity and poetical…... So, I shouldn't try to make any items that are way too similar to each other I have option.)

(Should I make the upgraded version of the armor I made before? The one for brawlers?)

(The armor DOES have good design with the arms having thicker defense on the back of the arms that could be used as shields…. It's a very good design if I say so and I can definitely improve it by a lot since I'm not restrained by any big conditions.)

(For example, I could add an extra weapon that would be a hidden blade that can extend from below or above hand that could be used for assassination or parry.… But should I really use that armor design as base?)

(I think it would been way better idea if I make something different…. But the problem is that I need to create several items…...)

(So far, one of my most notable things about me is my magical mechanical skills.)

(They are still not somewhat high rank, and there is also the fact that I still didn't obtained class [Mechanic] that specializes in dealing with [Mechanical] items and structure. I need to max level my [Blacksmith] to get it, but fortune all I need to do is to raise the [Advance Blacksmithing] and that it.)

(There is also the fact that the mechanical parts of my body are parts of ME! Meaning that I have way better control over them, allowing me to do different stuff.)

Phantasia opened his inventory and took out one of his own notebooks and opened it, revealing a blueprint of a crossbow like weapon.

"I was planning on making that sooner or later…. But I guess I could use it to impress the dwarf."

"It does have major problems, but its doing its job excellently well."

"I could maybe try recreating a weapon version of my chained mace as a normal weapon… But the weight would be bit problematic."

"Some strong bastards would be able to use it…. But the crossbow ballistas will be also heavy weapon."

"Oh! How about instead of face I would make it into a small one handed axe?"

"But wait… I would need to add special engine to make the weapon chain quickly retract…. Can I make it?"

(I mean, it did worked with my own body since I was the one paying directly the cost…. But there will be definitely few problems.)

(So far, all magic items with trigger effects were related to crafting… But I didn't really made them but instead repaired them. I'm talking about the scapegoat elf guy who had been poisoned with the memory wiping poison.)

(But the question is: Can I make them the way I want it to with my current abilities?)

(I don't know how long it would take with researching this thing, so maybe I should put it on later if not just make it emergency idea, depending on the circumstances.)

(As for the third weapon…... Should I go with something simple?)

(I really and I mean really don't want to make anything pathetic and disappoint the dwarf and make the reward I would obtain end up becoming way weaker.)

(I have few ideas, but I don't know what to pick.)

(And its not also the god dammed weapons I have to worry about, but also armor sets and pieces.)

(Should I maybe make an armor and weapon combination?)

(For example have a blade that can stick out from top or the bottom of the arm that can be used to stab people?)

(However, simple armors that just focuses on its primally task such as stat boost or armor will also be good, if I made them correctly.)

(I need to show off as much as possible with my crafting skills.)

(The best course of action would be to at least make 1 simple armor set and 1 simple weapon while also making 1 bit weird armor set and 1 bit weird weapon.)

(The crossbow is good idea, but it's both weird complex, but also extremely simple when it would come to using it.)

(There is also option of trying to make mechanical magical items… But can I make it? I mean I kind of did with my body, but making it into item version is completely different thing.)

(Honestly, I don't think I have ability to create item like that. I can use mana somewhat to maybe turn some parts magical to give it a specific ability… But I don't think of-)

Upon realizing something, Phantasia quickly took out the research notes regarding the Unliving Heart creation and experiments and began reading them.

(When we were making the Unliving Heart where we couldn't keep energy too stable, the energy would leave the heart and fire a unstable beam of necrotic energy. IT IS POSSIBLE to fire an energy like that, but we did that by accident.)

(However it still proves that the energy can be "Shot".)

(If I somewhat stabilize the beam of magic and make it more powerful…. Then I could very possible turn into an functional weapon! An gun that can fire magic!)

"I think I should be somewhat recreate the incident on my own….. But there are few missing parts of informations….. And also other annoying stuff."

Phantasia quickly left his home and ran straight to the workshop and managed to have a short private talk with the dwarf.

"A magic gun?" – asked confused dwarf.

"Yea. I've been wondering if there exist something in this world already. A gun that can use user mana as ammunition to fire or…. You know." – said Phantasia.

"Hm…. Well, there exist weapons like for example magic bows that are also knows as mana bows or energy bows. Anyway, those weapons have an ability to manifest an arrows using caster mana or other form of energy as well as the magic crossbows that works in similar way, but the guns…...

I maybe consider by many as an extremely talented and well known blacksmithing in this city, but that does not mean I know every single weapon type in existence or materials. I'm not some all-knowing sage and stuff. I'm just a guy." – said the dwarf while wondering in his thoughts.

"I DID made guns before. Rifles and pistoles…. I even made some magical ones, but energy pistoles that can fire using the user mana? Sorry, never made any mana guns in my life unfortunately..."– said the dwarf while grabbing his chin.

"…. Maybe…... Maybe it is possible to create a magic guns if not somebody already made, the mana bows and mana crossbows does exists, so why shouldn't mana guns exits?"

"But the weapons like the mana bow or mana crossbow needs a lot a materials, especially the mana gems or mana crystals that would act like the catalyst."

"The mana bows and mana crossbows can be technically be consider like the mage catalyst weapons such as staffs, wands, magic books, magic conductors and some other mage weapons."

"If one were to try to make either mana bow or mana crossbow, they would need both knowledge and experience regarding mage catalyst weapons."

"…. BUT it is possible to make mana bows and mana crossbows, since there are people who had made, right?" – said Phantasia.

"…Yea. Its no secret that they can be made, but they do requite some effort." – said the dwarf.

"And regarding the mana gun…. I think they exist, but I'm not really sure as well?"

"… I can maybe look into them…. But considering your expression I think you are already thinking of making one, aren't you?" – said the dwarf while observing Phantasia unmasked face.

"…. Yea… You got me extremely motivated with that whole mana bow and mana crossbow stuff." – said Phantasia while smiling excitedly.

"Heh."

"Well, I won't be forcing you or anything. Honestly, you don't really need to make that mana gun or magic gun or what ever you want to call it."

"The test is only about making good and functioning items."

"So, if that mana gun situation won't work out, don't worry."

"I never even though that something like that existence in the first place, so I don't really know what I would expect or how I would rate it."

"The items only need to be good and useable. The test is about showing me your creativity and poetical, so don't forget about it."

"I understand…... Thanks for the informations." – said the Phantasia.

"No problem. Honestly that idea of yours did got me interested, but I really don't have time right now to experiment about it myself since I'm still busy with restoring piece in my workshop." – said the dwarf while getting up.

"Anyway, I already talked enough. I need to get going already and get back to the work. See ya later Wood Mask." – said the dwarf before leaving the room.

(Honestly, I didn't knew that there are weapons like mana bow or mana crossbow…. But now? They somewhat confirmed the existence of the mana guns!)

(They may existed or may not, but if they really do exist and I can really make them, then this is extremely huge for me!)

(Now I need to research it at all cost!)

"Pfffff!" – Phantasia tried to stop himself from laughing by covering his mouth with his hand.
