Chapter 190 Celebration, Mother is Proud

Noah arrived at his parent's house, he was planning to stay there for the rest of the week before going back to his own mansion.

His mom decided to take a day off her work, she hadn't taken any leaves ever since she started working. She believed that the first day of her son's exams would be worth taking a leave for.

Hearing him enter the house, Caroline immediately got up from the couch, her face lighting up with both relief and concern.

"Noah? Tell me, how did it go? Did it go well? Were you nervous? Did you have enough time to finish?" Her voice tumbled over itself, her questions coming rapid-fire as she approached him.

Noah let out a soft chuckle, holding up his hands in surrender. "Whoa, Mom, one question at a time!"

With a wry smile, he nodded reassuring her. "Yes, it went very well. I wasn't nervous at all, and I think I might even get full marks."

Caroline's expression turned into a proud grin, her hands clasping together as if she'd just won the jackpot. "That's my son!" she said, her tone beaming.

Without hesitation, she stepped forward and wrapped him in a tight hug, squeezing him affectionately. "I'm so proud of you, honey!"

Noah hugged her back, feeling the warmth of her unconditional support. "Thanks, Mom. You don't need to worry so much."

Pulling back slightly, Caroline looked him over as though confirming his words. "I know you do, but I can't help it. A mother always worries."

Her words made Noah smile again, his heart feeling lighter. "Well, save that worrying for the results day. For now, let's just celebrate that it's done."

She nodded enthusiastically. "You're absolutely right. Let's have your favourite dinner tonight—you deserve it!"

...

Time passed by, and soon the family gathered at the dinner table. The dinner was steak paired with tenderstem broccoli, creamy mashed potatoes, and a refreshing halloumi salad to top it all off.

As they ate, Emily's excitement was raging more than usual. "Brother! You're amazing! You're going to ace all your exams, right?" she exclaimed, a grin on her face as she popped a piece of broccoli into her mouth.

David chuckled, raising his tea glass in a small toast. "Congratulations on today, son. I'm proud of you."

"Thanks, Dad," Noah said with a smile, savouring a bite of his steak.

Caroline joined in, her voice warm. "You've done so well, Noah. This dinner is only a small celebration. We will do the big one, once the results are out."

Noah gave a soft laugh, sipping on his tea. "Thanks, Mom."

David leaned back, his plate clean. "Speaking of which, when are your next tests?"

"This whole week is exam week," Noah said, setting down his fork. "Tomorrow morning is my mathematics exam. It's pretty straightforward, so I'm not worried."

Both parents nodded in understanding.

"You've been working hard, son," David said. "Keep it up. It'll pay off."

Emily, ever curious, chimed in, her fork pointing at Noah. "Big bro, what are you going to do after school? Are you going to become a super-famous doctor or a lawyer?"

"I think you shouldn't enter the lawyer field." She said.

Chuckling Noah said, "Why is that?"

"It's because there is strong competition, I heard Jayoma is taking over the scene."

Noah almost spat the tea in his mouth, "Em, why do you know who Jayoma is?"

"Huh? I just heard about him from school," She said, her eyes darting around like she was caught doing something she wasn't meant to be doing.

Noah glanced at her suspiciously but ignored it, seeing that their parents were confused.

Noah leaned back, swirling his tea thoughtfully. "But, I haven't decided yet. Doctor, lawyer, engineer… I'll see what fits when the time comes. There's no rush."

Caroline and David exchanged a look, both proud and reflective. They had their own dreams for Noah, but they respected his independence and foresight in the business

world. Caroline broke the silence, her voice soft. "Whatever you choose, Noah, we know you'll excel."

David nodded, adding, "It's not just about what you'll be. It's about who you are. You've already done more for this family than we could have ever asked for."

Noah's smile widened, a warm feeling settling in his chest. "No matter what I do, I could never repay you."

The next day arrived...

[Ding! 500g of Pure Gold has been stored in the inventory]

[Ding! $2,300 has been credited to the account ending in xx04. Current balance: $21,062,369]

David once again dropped Noah in front of his school for his exam.

"Take care," Noah said, as he closed the door.

...

After the exam, Noah spoke about it with Lily and Aiden who found it very easy.

"It was such an easy mathematics exam," Aiden boasted, a smug grin spreading across his face. "I almost fell asleep halfway through. Still, I'm pretty sure I'll get at least an 88%."

Noah raised an eyebrow, grinning. "You almost slept, and you only got 88%? What would've happened if you scored 90%? A coma?"

Aiden scratched the back of his head sheepishly. "What can I say? The exam was boring, and my brain likes to conserve energy."

"Conserve energy? With all that food in your stomach? how do you still not have energy after all of that," Noah jabbed after Lily left, his grin widening.

"Hey, that's research for my YTube! I'm a mukbang tuber, after all, I need to try all kinds of food." Aiden defended, holding his hands up.

...

The week passed by in a flash, and exam season was finally over. Standing in front of the school after their final test, Aiden threw his arms in the air as if he'd just been freed from prison.

"Ugh! Finally! Exam season is over!" he exclaimed dramatically, spinning around for effect. "I can finally focus on the important things in life."

"And what exactly are the important things?" Noah asked, folding his arms and smirking.

"Money!" Aiden declared, rubbing his index finger and thumb together like a cartoon villain. "It's time to grind on YTube and make something tangible—cold, hard cash!"

"Did you?" Noah asked, laughing. "Because you told me that last week, you tried promoting a giveaway and forgot to sign a contract for the prize and got scammed."

"Okay, that was a minor oversight," Aiden grumbled, crossing his arms. "But this time, I'm serious. I'm making moves, bro!"

Noah shook his head, clapping Aiden on the back. "Alright, Mr. Mogul. Just remember us little guys when you're rolling in millions."

"You're already rich," Aiden muttered, narrowing his eyes at Noah. "Why don't you invest in my channel, huh? You can be my first sponsor!"

"Sure," Noah said, smirking. "I thought I was already your first sponsor, but it seems like the planning for your first video, and teaching how to edit wasn't."

"It was! You know I was just playing with you," Aiden chuckled awkwardly.

"Sure you were," Noah smiled.

...

Arriving home, Noah was greeted by a cheer from his family as he stepped through the door.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"Congratulations on finishing high school, Noah!" Caroline beamed, her hands clapping together with pride.

David stood by her side, a broad smile on his face, while Emily practically bounced in excitement. The dining room table was adorned with balloons, a celebratory cake, and a few wrapped presents.

"You guys didn't have to do all this," Noah said, though the warm smile on his face betrayed his gratitude.

"Of course, we did!" Caroline replied, pulling him into a tight hug. "Finishing high school is a huge milestone, and we're so proud of you."

"Alright, alright," David said, rubbing his hands together. "Let's get to the good part—your presents."

Emily eagerly darted forward, clutching a small wrapped package in her hands. "Me first! Me first!" she exclaimed, thrusting the gift towards Noah.

Noah took the package, grinning at her enthusiasm. Carefully unwrapping it, he revealed a handmade photo frame with a picture of the two of them laughing and making silly faces.

"I made this in art class," Emily explained, a slight blush on her cheeks. "I know it's not as cool as other stuff, but… you're the best big brother ever, so I thought it'd be nice to give you this."

Noah smiled as he stared at the photo. "Emily, this is amazing," he said, pulling her into a hug. "I love it. Thank you."

Her face lit up with joy as she hugged him back. "I'm glad you like it!"

David stepped forward next, "Alright, my turn. This one's from me."

He handed Noah a rectangular box, wrapped neatly with white paper and a soft silver ribbon. Noah opened it to reveal a hand-carved white marble dove, perched on an olive branch. The craftsmanship was exquisite, the dove's feathers etched with precision and care.

Noah's brow arched slightly as he examined the sculpture. "This is... beautiful," he said, glancing at his father.
