"What do you mean there's no news from the people who took care of that matter?!"

A fierce, annoying roar sounded when Ming Xian shouted at one of his servants.

All the servants had their heads down without daring to look or respond to the patriarch. One of them plucked up his courage and stammered back, "S-sir, we lost contact with the whole group of them... since they started running the formation and after a while, we stopped receiving news from them..."

Ming Xian threw the glass he had in his hand, shattering it into a thousand pieces.

It goes without saying that the patriarch of the Ming family was angry at this moment, the news to start the plan to take the star city didn't arrive and on top of that, the group of subordinates in charge of carrying out that mission, disappeared without a trace.

The patriarch Ming Xian suddenly remembered such a person as a hate formed within him.

He remembered Ling Tian. He was the only obstacle that stood in his way. There was no one who could easily defeat a demon horde in a few seconds, even the City Lord would take time to do so.

The Ming Xian patriarch sat with a somber face. He wanted to kill that young man with his bare hands. It could not be that his entire plan of years was affected by a single young man.

"Pass on my order! You are to move quietly and search for a young man named Ling Tian. If you find him, you are to report to me immediately. This is of utmost importance! Anyone who does not do his job properly will be killed!" Ming Xian roared with anger in his voice. On his way he could not help but strike several servants to vent his anger and rage.

He had to find that bastard's whereabouts. He knew that now they could no longer lure him to their family, since he decided to save the Zhang family, he was sure that this young man had decided to protect the city by saving them from the horde of demonic beasts, so killing him was the only way out.

Ming Xian quickly left the hall and headed to the center of the residence.

In a secluded and quiet place, Ming Xian entered slowly and respectfully reported still with a hint of anger, "Father, there's something urgent I need to report."

A few seconds passed, and a deep, dark voice came from within: "Come in."

Ming Xian came into the room and sat down in front of an old man. This was his father, Ming Waen, and he was currently in the Emperor rank. Ming Waen was the ancestor of the Ming family. The promotion to the rank of Emperor was known only to the patriarch and the young master of the Ming family, no one else but them knew the current status of the ancestor. His age seemed to be around 50-60 years, but he was actually over 100 years old.

Ming Xian respectfully reported, "Father, the plan to start with the Zhang family failed..." He continued to report everything he knew without omitting any details.

Over time, Ming Waen's face grew darker as he listened to his son's report and a slight murderous aura seeped from his body. He, too, hated that young man who was standing in the way of the Ming family's plan to gain control of the whole world.

His murderous aura got it by killing dozens of people in star city who were either opposing the Ming family or plotting against the family and could harm them, so he personally dealt with many guys and killed them in cold blood.

Once they take over the star city, everyone who ever went against the Ming family will be killed!

Ming Waen was silent before he spoke: "So, you mean once we know about the location of that young man, we'll kill him?"

Ming Waen saw no better solution than this. He was also sure that they could no longer lure this young man to their side, so killing him was the only option, but...
