Temporal Pearls

When Seth woke up, he had recovered his exertion points and his wounds were healed. He then came out from the crater with difficulty and sat down to read the notification.

He noticed that the pressure of Gawee was seeping inside the cave, so he stopped reading everything until he came back to the forest.

At the entrance, he noticed that the inscriptions were fading even though there were enough red stones to power them.

'The existence of the dragon maintained them. Now that it is no more, they are disappearing.'

Checking outside, and confirming it was safe, Seth bolted out and ran back.

The journey was uneventful, the abhorrent might seem mindless but they avoid him due to his red stripe cloak.

Reaching home, Seth sighed in relief and checked the dragon's blood, it was still there and intact.

Turning around he saw a bloodied battered little cub glaring at him. He left her back for a reason. The amount of prey it ate was large and it was tired and dizzy.

After he left, the cub hunted a lot but after it wanted to sleep it followed Seth but reached the edge of the forest and saw the desolate land. It ran back in fear and waited but Seth didn't come back until now.

The womb came out on its own and the cub ran to it and flashes of light took it in. Seth smiled and said, "As expected!"

Over the past few days, he had checked the womb functions repeatedly to see if could take Serodo in but he found the answer was no, but then he learned even with it nursing the baby, it can still be fertilized.

~What do you want from me?~

Seth yelped back as he heard the dragon speak. He checked the womb and he found the dragon still alive and kicking and had not fertilized the womb.

`How!'

."Who are you? How did you get this womb?~

Inside the silver glowing womb was a tiny dragon coiled but its eyes were staring at Seth.

~My name is Seth Enoch, Floating Feather Dragon Legacy Holder, the man that defeated silver water, defeat Roana Prada and also the person that captured~

Seth's throat aches but unlike before he recovered faster than normal and he looked at the lith dragon.

~You speak dragon tongue. The whole of the dragon race will come for you if you force me to fertilize ~

~I don't care. However, I want to know something. What is your name and how old are you?~

The dragon stared at Seth for a moment before he closed his eyes and ignored him.

~Fertilization~

The womb trembled and energy gushed to the dragon. It panicked and opened its eyes and said.

~Vela Delarator Skyling. I'm unique, the first of my kind from the lineage of Sky Light Dragons~

It might be afraid but its pride made it not beg for its life. However, it hoped answering Seth would make the abominable human unable to kill him.

~Im 5 years old~

Seth nodded, he then brought a book and began to just down but to his surprise the whole book burnt away.

~You can't record dragons on normal materials ~

~Okay, I would not like to kill you but I have no choice. It was part of a class quest I have~

~Quest? Mission from Amma? You are those otherworlders?~

~Amma will never ask you to kill us. Perhaps you didn't understand her~

That was one large disparity but Seth noted and asked other questions, such as how many races of the dragon there were, who the king was, and which dragon was the most powerful. Sadly, all these heavy questions, the dragon he doesn't know

~When I hatched, I was alone in a cave filled with many dead eggs and broken hatched eggs.~

Unlike other animals and creatures such as humans that have to name themselves, dragons came with their own names. But, hatchling dragons that became adults without knowing their names may be cursed to become part of the world. That was, they transformed into a stone, tree or any kind of element they were destined to wield.

That is to say, if a fire dragon didn't know his name until he was 2 years old, which at that time he was a baby dragon, then he would just become a lava pool or transform a place to have natural heat.

So, it was the duty of all adult dragons that saw a hatchling dragon to quickly ask them what their name was. The question will invoke the dragon's memory and they can remember if their parent spoke their name while they were in the egg, if not then they will not have a name.

Then the adult will use his Voice of Power and ask the world the hatchling's name, they will learn the name and then tell the hatchling.

This action will cause the two to bond and forever they shall never hunt or try to kill each other. Not only that, the adult dragon namer will have some benefit if the hatchling dragon achieves something in the future because naming will cause so much power and render him powerless for a year.

So naming consumes power too.

Seth conversed with it for a long time but then he asked an important question.

~Will you kill me if I let you go?~

The dragon became silent. Seth burst into laughter and said.

~Let me guess. Your first blood should be someone powerful or unique or special in order to activate your voice.~

~No. killing of any life form deliberately.~

~Okay, so the better life forms the better the voice?~

~No. One's voice is predetermined ~

~Hmm. So, the better the life form the better the control over the voice?~

That was when the dragon was silent for a moment before it said

~Yes!~

~Im normal, if you kill me, you will have no control~

~Back then I only wanted to have a voice to heal my injuries. But now I wished I had killed you, you are very unique ~

Seth smiled and nodded while he added.
