Tale of a Hedonistic wizard

Chapter 364 Whispered secrets

In the chamber, several Laikgars attended to the goddess with unwavering devotion.

Two female Laikgars, their statuesque bodies barely covered, stood silently behind Kamlham. Their eyes, dark and fathomless, remained fixed on some middle distance, ever alert for the slightest indication that their mistress might require their services. Their figure was like a work of art, voluptuous and alluring.

At the foot of Eomoriel's sumptuous bed, two male Laikgars knelt in supplication. Their strong, deft hands worked tirelessly, massaging her feet with oils.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

Another male Laikgar stood to the side, his muscular arm moving in a steady rhythm as he swung an enormous fan crafted from the feathers of the great cosmic peacock. The fan stirred the heavy, fragrant air of the chamber, creating currents that carried whispers of secrets and fragments of dreams.

The presence of the Laikgars added another layer of opulence and otherworldliness to the scene.

They were living testaments to the power of the gods; beings existed for the sole purpose of service. Their unwavering dedication and inhuman beauty served as a constant reminder of the vast gulf that separated the divine from the mortal.

Eomoriel for her part, paid little overt attention to the laikgars as she continued her conversation with Kamlham. To her, their presence was as natural and expected as the stars in the night sky. Yet there was no doubt that she derived great pleasure and satisfaction from their attentions.

Every so often, her galaxy-filled eyes would flicker to one of her servants, and the Laikgar in question would immediately adjust their actions to better please their mistress.

For hours, the two divine beings had lounged in comfortable silence, passing the mystical smoke between them and basking in the tranquillity of the eternal night.

But suddenly, she sat bolt upright, her eyes wide and gleaming with an inner light that outshone the stars themselves.

Kamlham tilted his head in curiosity. "What's wrong?" he asked, his voice a soothing purr that seemed to reverberate through the very fabric of reality.

She did not immediately respond. Her gaze was fixed on a point in space that only she could see, her expression one of intense concentration.

Slowly, ever so slowly, a smile began to spread across her face. It was not the benevolent smile of a loving goddess, but rather the wicked grin of one who has just discovered a particularly juicy secret.

"Things," she said at last, her voice carrying the weight of aeons, "are going to be very interesting from now on."

Each word seemed to hang in the air, shimmering with potential energy before fading away.

Kamlham raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?" he enquired, genuine curiosity colouring his tone. It was rare for anything to truly pique her interest, as it had been a very long time since he had seen her move with such interest.

Her smile grew wider, revealing teeth that gleamed like polished obsidian. "Tell me," she purred, her voice dripping with honeyed malice, "where is our illustrious king right now?"

The question caught Kamlham off guard. He frowned, his brow furrowing in concentration as he tried to recall the whereabouts of the King of the Gods.

After a moment, he shook his head. "I... I don't know," he admitted, a note of surprise evident in his voice. "In fact, I don't think anyone knows. He's been unusually quiet lately."

This admission seemed to please her immensely. She threw back her head and laughed, a sound that sent shivers through the very foundations of the palace. Stars trembled in their courses, and in the mortal realm far below, dreamers tossed and turned in their sleep, plagued by visions of darkness and whispered secrets.

"Oh, this is delicious," she crooned, clapping her hands together in delight. "The mighty Okyreus, so-called King of the Gods, has vanished without a trace. And not a single one of his sycophantic followers has noticed!" She dissolved into laughter once more, the sound echoing through the infinite expanse of her chambers.

Kamlham leaned forward, his interest well and truly piqued now. "But surely you know where he is," he said, his tone half statement, half question. "You are one of his wives, after all. Nothing escapes your notice."

Her laughter subsided, but the wicked grin remained firmly in place. "Oh yes," she purred, "I know exactly where our dear king has hidden himself away. And more importantly, I know why."

Her eyes gleamed with mischievous delight. "Let's just say that Okyreus had been on yet another one of his love journeys."

Kamlham chuckled.

"That aside, what piqued your interest earlier, you seemed to be focused on that?" He raised the question. Seeing her odd expression, he couldn't help but ask.

"Well, something I left behind a long time ago, seems to have come to the surface," she said, more like whispering as her voice was low.

"Oh, what is it?"

"I think the reign of chaos is about to begin," she said as she stared upwards.

"What!!?" Kamlham exclaimed, stupified. He couldn't believe what she said. It was a topic that no one would dare say in the land of the gods.

Seeing his reaction, she chuckled; it was like a melody.

"Don't make that face; it's not something we should mind ourselves with," she purred, her voice a low hum that sent a shiver up his spine.

"My husband will take care of it." Her tone carried the weight of the gods themselves—supreme, dismissive.

As though no mortal concern could touch her. "Meanwhile," her eyes glimmered with a mischievous spark, "why don't you take care of me?"

She leaned back, her hands supporting her as she shifted, her movements slow and deliberate.

The robe, already loose, slid further down her body, revealing more of her smooth, porcelain skin and a little bit of her large mounds of flesh. His heart raced as he realized the dangerous game he was playing, but he couldn't resist the temptation that she exuded. The room seemed to shrink as their eyes locked in a silent agreement, a dance of desire and danger beginning to unfold.
