Chapter 134: SHOCK!! SPACE!!
Looking at Lilith, Mirenda sighed in relief, her expression and eyes showing...gladness?
"Alright, you three can flirt later," Mirenda said as she snapped her finger and caused the wagon to turn transparent. Erix, Rin, and Lilith could see outside scenery, but eyes from outside couldn't see them.
"We are going enter a space tear directly leading to Blue Maw Trench," Mirenda informed. "Brace yourselves because you'll feel a bit strange."
Rin and Erix looked at the ocean below and were amazed to see a giant black whirlpool on the ocean as the carriage descended.
"Don't worry. Nothing will happen as long as I am here," Lilith smiled.
"That's also true," Mirenda smiled, a hint of gladness in her tone. "It's your fortune you stumbled upon, Erix."
"True, true," Lilith rubbed her cheeks against Erix's face.
A second later, the carriage entered the whirlpool on the ocean formed by a space tear connecting to a different part of the ocean far away in the Inner Domain.
They could feel the atmosphere bending and the air trembling when they entered inside.
They were protected by the wagon they sat inside, but Erix and Rin could still feel the raging impact of going through the space tear as their carriage was flowing into it along with water. They marveled at this unique experience, though Lilith and Mirenda sat carefreely.
"This…"
Erix suddenly felt strange as he sensed some mystical ripples.
His eyes shone with a faint silver hue as he remembered the feeling of an isolated space world where his consciousness would enter after getting cursed by Babin Maw Hook.
"This world, no wait…two worlds?" Erix murmured before he suddenly closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
"What happened?" Mirenda asked, confused.
"I can't let this chance get wasted. I feel like I am grasping something," Erix said with his eyes closed. "I'll be out cold for an hour. Take of me."
"Alright, go ahead," Rin said before she looked at Mirenda with a firm expression., "We have to guard him for an hour maximum. If he succeeded, he will have a major boost in power."
"No problem."
Mirenda nodded.
"Let's hope we get the surprise I am expecting," Mirenda smiled.
…
Right after Erix entered Limitless Plane, Erix first felt a gush of spirit force infusing into his consciousness before a glowing slate with eccentric runes appeared before him.
However, Erix didn't have time for this as he quickly sat down cross-legged and entered deep meditation.
'Wow…'
Erix immediately noticed a massive improvement in his comprehension ability and focus.
'Is this the result of awakening Spirit stat and having a stronger consciousness?'
'Awesome!'
Erix was thrilled and immediately resumed his comprehension of the inspiration he got.
He had dived into that oblivion space world as the effect of a curse many times and never wasted a single second trying to understand that world.
Erix could feel a new world opening before him when he felt those space ripples that gave him a feeling of being detached from reality, or rather, a feeling of entering a strange world.
'The space exists as an anchor to time. I can't understand time, but there is something between space-time, and that's what separates yet connects space and time and allows the foundation of the physical world to exist…
'And that strange world...'
Erix was bubbling with excitement as he could feel a flow of information getting compressed every second by him.
All of that information and the result of his understanding was manifesting a newfound power within Erix.
That newfound power was one of the most difficult ones to attain and develop.
Space—one of the four principal elements.
'So that ripples were residual of space matter flowing into this world from Space Limbo…'
'This Space Limbo is always connected to this world as a foundation for it to exist physically by using space matter.'
'Space matter…so this is the most basic thing I need to understand about Space element first…'
The information was crystalizing as he comprehended Space matter.
Just like how Flame, Water, Earth, and other elements had their forms, the Space element's form was space matter.
And Erix was exceedingly close to grasping this element into his control.
Time passed, but Erix couldn't feel it. All he knew was that he was steadily making progress and unwavering felt he would attain this power.
Ten steps left.
Nine…
Eight…
He moved forward, easily devouring the obstacles and making them his.
With no pause in between, Erix put together the final pieces of the puzzle that was the Space element while soul stirred in excitement.
Arriving at the ethereal scenery where he stood before a dreamy silver door, Erix took the final step ahead and faintly smiled.
Erix stretched his hand and pushed the door open.
…
Only ten minutes had passed since Erix entered Limitless Plane, and the carriage had just landed at the Blue Maw Trench, entering a big town floating above the ocean yet filled with water.
Lilith had just put a barrier around Erix inside the carriage to prevent external effects from disturbing him when all three of them suddenly felt space trembling around them.
*Boom!*
Lilith's barrier suddenly shattered due to Erix attaining the space element and causing a phenomenon to occur for a second.
Rin was startled at the suddenness of the situation, but Lilith and Mirenda had their shock increase in intensity as they understood something.
Rin also understood as her eyes sparkled.
"He did it!" She uttered, absolutely delighted. "Hahaha! I knew it."
"What the…" Mirenda was speechless. "No way, right?"
She looked at Lilith and asked, "Don't tell me you also believed he could do it?"
Lilith wryly smiled.
"I entertained that possibility, but not with the expectation of him attaining it right now."
"Crazy…Now, Erix is officially a 6th powerhouse with Space affinity in Kalaanx Abyss," Mirenda muttered as she subsided the waves of shock within her.
"Well, his consciousness and mind were already powerful enough, and according to Rin, he seemed to be experiencing a strange phenomenon as an effect of a curse," Lilith said.
"Yep," Rin nodded.
A second later, everyone saw Erix disappearing from the carriage and appearing outside, floating in the sky without using Metal Control.
Erix felt exhilarating before he looked at the crystal and stone structures a kilometer away, along with a giant town entrance gate.
'Let's see...'
Erix narrowed his eyes as they gleamed silver.
In his eyes, the physical world was superimposed by Space Limbo before he consumed his mana, produced space matter, and enveloped himself before connecting his current location to one kilometer away towards the town gate by interacting with Space Limbo.
*Poof*
A second later, Erix teleported, appearing just ten meters away from the entrance gate.
