Super Gene Ⅱ: Evolution

After leaving the Realm King Planet, Lin Shen still couldn't sleep; the nights on Giant Ring Star were just too long.

Lin Shen simply teleported again. However, this time he didn't head for the Realm King Planet, but rather to the Ring Mountain Planet.

Wei Wufu's Primeval Egg hadn't been delivered yet, and he couldn't ascend, but he could start gathering Ascension resources in the meantime.

Arriving at the place he left last time, Lin Shen first checked on that Mutated Pterosaur Egg.

The egg was still there, and the Mutated Pterosaur was not inside the Ring Mountain.

Lin Shen thought for a moment, deciding to wait until he could leave Paradise Palace before finding an opportunity to take the Mutated Pterosaur Egg out.

His elder sister needed to ascend, and pets like Jiweis, Death Powder, and Frost Swordsman needed to ascend as well; he had to find more Mutated Ascension Eggs.

After descending from the mountain, Lin Shen visited other Ring Mountains and saw various Dragon-type Creatures, most of which were at Ascension Level.

However, the number of mutated creatures was not that high, and the mutation rate was not as high as on Realm King Planet.

After running through more than a dozen Ring Mountains, Lin Shen finally saw another mutated creature.

"What is this thing?" Inside a huge Ring Mountain, Lin Shen saw a Dragon-type Creature with six wings, a body several times larger than the Evil Dragon's, with three dragon heads, and a body that seemed to be made of Silver Crystal.

Lin Shen had seen many Dragon-type Creatures in various Ring Mountains; they were mostly green in color, with only that Mutated Pterosaur being black. He had never before seen a Dragon-type Creature like this one, shiny as Silver Crystal.

Moreover, this creature was too imposing; the pressure from its massive body was not something regular Ascended Creatures could compare with.

Its three pairs of dragon wings were also slightly different from those of a Pterosaur, looking more like butterfly wings in their design.

The three dragon heads looked identical, but the colors of their eyes were different.

The eyes of the central head were silver like Silver Crystal, while the left head's eyes were like Green Crystal, and the right head's eyes were gold in color.

Lin Shen thought this guy was probably a Mutated Ascension, but he didn't know what tier of Ascended Creature it was.

Just from its imposing appearance, he estimated it wasn't of a low tier.

Regrettably, no Ascension Eggs were found within this Ring Mountain.

This creature, even more imposing than the Evil Dragon, was something Lin Shen genuinely wanted to have as a mount; riding it around would definitely be incredibly cool.

Riding this thing to pick up girls, which girl could resist?

As Lin Shen was contemplating this, suddenly, he saw the three heads of the Three-Headed Dragon all lift up, emitting a soul-shaking dragon roar.

The next second, Lin Shen saw three different Life Bases flying out from the mouths of the three dragon heads.

This gave Lin Shen quite a fright; he thought the Three-Headed Dragon had discovered him and wanted to attack.

He quickly flew back, but he didn't see the three Life Bases flying outside of the Ring Mountain, so they probably weren't attacking him.

"What the... that guy has three Life Bases..." Lin Shen suddenly realized that the Three-Headed Dragon actually had three Life Bases.

He had never seen an Ascended Creature with three Life Bases before.

He had painstakingly used Primeval Eggs to advance, always on edge, and his Base Mutation Talent was like drawing a lottery. At most, he would end up with a Double Life Base. Yet, this thing actually had a Tri-Life Base; it was simply outrageous.

Lin Shen climbed back to the peak and sneakily peered into Ring Mountain. There, he saw the Three-Headed Dragon frolicking with its three Life Bases, having a whale of a time playing with its own Life Bases.

Its three Life Bases were three shields: the Green Crystal Shield was round, the Silver Crystal Shield was iron shaped, and the Gold Crystal Shield somewhat resembled a riot shield.

Within each shield, there was a dragon-shaped light shadow, likely the spirit of the Life Base.

"It really is a Tri-Life Base, not one Life Base split into three," Lin Shen confirmed when he saw the spirits inside the shields, convinced that the Three-Headed Dragon was undoubtedly a mutant.

A thought struck Lin Shen, "This creature has three Life Bases, an extremely rare treasure among treasures. It's a pity it hasn't bred an Ascension Egg. If I were to kill it, I would merely obtain three Life Bases, which is an incredible waste compared to its true value."

"If I were to use Death Powder's supreme Soul Harvesting skill, combined with Jiweis's suppressive effect on dragon-type creatures, I wonder if I could make this wild dragon-type creature acknowledge me as its master..." Lin Shen felt it was worth a try, though he needed to enhance the intimidating power of the supreme Soul Harvesting against dragon-type creatures first.

It would be best if Death Powder and Jiweis could ascend first; the effect would probably be better.

To make them ascend, he currently lacked suitable Ascension Eggs, and since Lin Shen himself hadn't ascended, they wouldn't be able to be activated after their ascension. Lin Shen could only find a way to enhance Death Powder's supreme Soul Harvesting skill first.

"Sorry, little dragon babies, for the sake of this Three-Headed Dragon mount, you'll have to be sacrificed," Lin Shen took Death Powder to kill those ordinary dragon-type creatures.

Killing creatures of the same type should be just as effective in deterring the Three-Headed Dragon, albeit perhaps slightly less.

But it didn't matter, as long as he killed more types of dragon-type creatures, the deterrence would accumulate.

For example, after killing a hundred Pterosaurs, killing more Pterosaurs wouldn't increase the deterrent power, but Lin Shen could continue to kill Triceratops, and a hundred of them would also add to the deterrence against dragon-type creatures.

With so many types of dragons on Ring Mountain Planet, killing a few extra species would stack up the impact.

Now with Surfing Fist, Stubborn Lone Will Gauntlets, and the added strength attribute from the Boundless Strength Contract, Lin Shen could easily kill general ascended creatures without calling upon the power of the Sacrificial Halo.

Moreover, by luring those dragon-type creatures out, the local environment would suppress them, making it easier to kill them.

The Sacrificial Halo had now accumulated one hundred thirty-eight attribute points, mostly from the offerings during that period of time, and hadn't grown much since.

When fighting, Lin Shen never counted on the power of the Sacrificial Halo to avoid being over-reliant and suffering great losses in the future.

If his own abilities were sufficient to kill, he would kill; if not, he would first enhance his own strength, without always relying on the enhancements provided by the Sacrificial Halo.

Having found a Ring Mountain where Pterosaurs gathered, Lin Shen lured one out, and with a punch, he burst the Pterosaur into pieces, not even giving Death Powder a chance to strike.

The Boundless Strength Contract kept his strength growing, and Lin Shen now had 61 strength attribute points, 20 points more than a top-level Crystal Base, and all of these were foundational strength points, which would be amplified when using attribute enhancement skills.

After killing a few Pterosaurs, the time Lin Shen had set arrived, and he was transported back to his room.

"You... why are you here..." Lin Shen saw light in the room and immediately felt something was off. He turned his head and spotted Tian Xun, wearing a white nightgown, lying on his side on his bed, resting her fair cheek in her hand, and looking at him with a smile that wasn't quite a smile.

Lin Shen had observed over the past two days that even within Paradise Palace, Tian Xun would not leave her room when night fell. She had also reminded Lin Shen and Lin Miao not to leave their rooms after dark.

Lin Shen had thus felt reassured to teleport to other planets, not expecting Tian Xun to come to his room during the night.

"Why can't I be here? Aren't you my little lover? What's wrong with me being in my little lover's room?" Tian Xun stretched out a hand, grabbed Lin Shen's, and pulled him straight into her embrace, "My little lover, don't you want to do the things that lovers should do?"
