Splitting the Heavens

Chapter 1484: Breaking Through, “How Many People Can You Support”

Chapter 1484: Breaking Through, “How Many People Can You Support”

Deep in the void around the Azure Savage World, a half-destroyed spatial tunnel stood. With a Heaven Supporting Jade Pillar holding the entrance open, it was forcefully maintained.

Other than a clone Shang Xia created to protect the spatial tunnel, everything else was quiet.

When the Ying Brothers were dealing with the Star Beast pack, Shang Xia had already placed his attention on the Star Ship and Spirit Ark that were under attack.

After the Ying Brothers killed the Star Beast, they chased the fleeing beasts to look for their nest.

After seeing that there was no more danger around the spatial tunnel, Shang Xia left behind a clone before rushing back to help Xin Lu and the others. He intended to weaken the Azure Savage World’s strength by killing a few beasts, but his plan was thwarted by the mysterious creature who called them back.

That was right. Weakening the Azure Savage World was actually a part of his plans since his true body wouldn’t be able to enter the Azure Savage World.

Since an Azure World couldn’t hold a high-level True Immortal, forcing their way in would only invoke the ire of the World’s Will.

Shang Xia was confident in his strength, but he wasn’t arrogant enough to believe he could contend against an Azure World on his own.

He wasn’t the only one. Even the Ying Brothers wouldn’t be able to step foot onto the Azure Savage World personally due to their cultivation levels.

It was a strange restriction that was able to stop Shang Xia even if he used his Man and Heaven Synergy Chapter to disguise himself as a weaker expert.

Back in the Heaven Observation Field, Shang Xia already tried many methods to enter an Azure World. No matter how he tried, it ended in failure. The moment he approached, the World’s Will would detect a sense of crisis and would defend against it with everything it had.

That was also the reason why no high-level True Immortal from the Spirit Abundance World attacked the Azure Ascension World back then.

Shang Xia also suspected it had something to do with how connected a high-level True Immortal’s soul was with their world.

He initially thought that his amazing skills allowed him to avoid the rejection of the world but he realized he had overestimated himself the entire time. It was just that changing his aura followed the requirements of the World’s Will and that was why he wasn’t rejected.

Above the heavenly screen of the Azure Savage World, no spiritual beasts could be seen. They didn’t dare to poke their heads out after returning to their world.

Seeing as there was nothing for him to take advantage of, Shang Xia led the ships to the spatial tunnel he discovered.

The World Establishing Art, along with the Heaven Supporting Jade Pillar, wouldn’t be able to last forever. Moreover, the Ying Brothers also fought an intense battle there.

The ships quickly arrived at the spot around the spatial gate. All of them could see that it was about to crumble.

Shang Xia, who was speaking to Xin Lu about her experience when using the Heaven Liberation Talisman, leaped off the ship and flew over to the entrance.

The unstable entrance became a lot more solid after Shang Xia arrived and infused his Six Direction Qi into it.

Turning back, Shang Xia could see that Xin Lu had approached with a bunch of Martial Dipper Realm Twin Star Pirates as escorts. Behind them was a smaller Star Ship that was hundreds of feet tall with an inbuilt platform that was almost 10 feet wide. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Shang Xia knew that the platform was what Xin Lu used, and it probably came from the Spirit Ark. It was fully dismantled and brought over for her.

In the Chaotic Sea of Stars, if any faction could possess a platform like that, it would be a testament to their strength. That was because it would indicate that they had a Stargazer and that was one of the best assurances for any groups traveling the sea of stars.

However, Xin Lu had mentioned to Shang Xia that the platform was pretty much something that gave her a mental boost. It was better than not having anything and there was no way it could boost the uses of her secret art.

Whatever it was, she knew she had to do her best. She started to study the spatial tunnel after calling for them to bring her over.

“How is it? Are you confident of locating the other end?” Shang Xia asked.

After a short moment of contemplation, Xin Lu mumbled, “Let me guide the 2 of them back before we talk about anything else.”

Shang Xia didn’t know anything about stargazing and he naturally had to listen to her.

Even though it wasn’t quite possible for the 2 of them to be lost, with Xin Lu guiding them, they would be able to head back a lot faster.

Ying Lianquan and Ying Lianxi also had Star Compasses. Crafting it was something Yuan Qiuyuan taught Xin Lu and Yan Ming before they left and Xin Lu crafted it for the both of them earlier.

The moment Star Compasses appeared in the sea of stars, it was bound to become a hot item.

The only downside to the compass was that it was extremely fragile. It would be destroyed if the user was not careful and since the inheritance came from the Heaven Observation Sect, it would be difficult for anyone to replicate it.

With Shang Xia’s protection, Xin Lu used her special arts without any worry and found the Ying Brothers. A ray of starlight emerged from her fingertips and flew to the Ying Brothers.

Around an hour or so later, Shang Xia felt a disturbance in the void and turned to Xin Lu. He saw her nodding at him and he reached out to create a spatial gate where the fluctuations formed. The Ying Brothers stepped out the next moment.

When Ying Lianquan returned, he looked around and gasped, “Oh? We appeared where we left! Stargazer Xin, you’re amazing!”

Pressing her lips together, Xin Lu chuckled, “I believe you guys found the Star Beast Nest.”

Looking at each other, Ying Lianquan eventually asked, “Stargazer Xin, how did you know?”

“I heard True Immortal Shang mention his past experience. We were invaded in the past and we know that once they are threatened, they will retreat and flee back to their nest. They would be able to conceal their tracks, but if you’re right behind them, it won’t be hard to track.” She frowned slightly, but she continued before long, “It’s a shame this other spatial tunnel is half destroyed... However, the Star Beast Nest you located might be close to the other world located at the end of this tunnel, and I’m here to help...”

Xin Lu sounded very confident in her ability to locate the other end and Shang Xia couldn’t help but ask, “Oh? Are you going to become a Grand Stargazer?”

“Not really, but I might not be that far away...” Xin Lu revealed a radiant smile.

The Ying Brothers widened their eyes in shock.

Shang Xia didn’t care about their reaction and he continued, “How long do you need to locate the other side?”

Xin Lu quickly wiped the smile off her face and turned serious. “3 or 5 days at least. However, I might need up to a month...”

Ying Lianquan couldn’t help but ask, “Why is there such a huge difference in time? Didn’t you say that the location of the Star Beast Nest can help determine the position of the other end of the tunnel?”

“Lianquan!” Ying Lianxi growled at him instantly.

Xin Lu didn’t mind and she simply explained, “That’s because those spiritual beasts clearly have some sort of technique that can observe the stars. They already located the Azure Savage World and most likely understand how to use Star Beast Nests. I will need to contend with their special arts in order to find them.”

Ying Lianxi frowned after hearing what she said. “Could the person helping those spiritual beasts be a Stargazer as well?”

“It doesn’t have to be a human Stargazer. It might be another spiritual beast with affinity or talent in the arts of stargazing.” Xin Lu shook her head and sighed.

It was then that Shang Xia added, “Since that’s the case, I will personally take charge here. I will maintain this spatial tunnel while you guys protect Stargazer Xin. As for the Azure World... We can put that on hold for the time being or you can do whatever you want there. If you need me, feel free to ask.”

Shang Xia had long since realized that the Ying Brothers weren’t just looking to conquer the Azure Savage World to establish themselves. He could tell that they definitely wanted something that was hidden within.

Since they were both working together, and Shang Xia had been invited by them, he didn’t plan to interfere with whatever they wished to do and destroy the basis of their trust and cooperation. Protecting Xin Lu to locate the region of space on the other side was the best excuse.

The Ying Brothers also knew Shang Xia’s intentions and they cupped their fists in his direction and thanked, “We will have to trouble you and Stargazer Xin then. We shall head over to the Azure Savage World to take a look.”

He didn’t forget to remind them, “By the way, the rank six spiritual beasts there seem different from anything I have ever seen. Please be careful.”

Ying Lianxi nodded. “Speaking of which, we do need you to help with something...”

“Oh?” Shang Xia raised an eyebrow in response. He seemed to have thought of something, but the smile on his face didn’t fade. “What is the matter? Feel free to speak your mind.”

“Brother Shang, your Heaven Liberation Talisman seems to be able to allow Martial Dipper Realm experts to gain the strength of a True Immortal. Can it also be used in the Azure Savage World? If so, how many people can you support at once?”
