Chapter 1210: Repelling demons (5)



When Moon looked up, she found that the limbs of the demon commander had been pushed back.

At the same time, there were several figures that were in the air above her.

These figures soon fell and landed around her, showing her their true appearance.

It was a shocking appearance, one that anyone else would have panicked over since they were considered dangerous.

These were hobgoblins that had appeared around her.

These were high grade monsters that had attacked the various races for a long time. Any place that these hobgoblins appeared in would be considered a disaster zone and many soldiers would be gathered to quarantine them.

But it didn't seem like Moon was scared to see these hobgoblins.

Rather, it seemed like she was relieved to see them here.

The one that was disturbed by the appearance of these hobgoblins was actually the demon commander.

After looking at the hobgoblin with this strange look for a bit, the demon commander raised a hand and pointed a finger at the hobgoblins to say, "Obey me."

But it didn't seem like the hobgoblins even heard what the demon commander said with the way that they completely ignored him.

Instead, they positioned themselves around Moon and looked like they were prepared to protect her from everything. At the same time, it seemed like they were waiting for her orders.

The demon commander deeply knitted his brows when he saw the way that the hobgoblins ignored him.

It was almost as if he had been personally offended with the expression on his face.

So the demon commander decided to go even further by raising several of his limbs and releasing the dark corruption energy. It was as if he was using that dark corruption energy to bait the hobgoblins into submitting to his power.

But once again, the hobgoblins just acted like they didn't see a single thing.

All of them treated the demon commander as if he didn't exist.

The demon commander couldn't help revealing a strange look when he saw this.

He had never seen this kind of strange hobgoblins before, it just didn't seem to make any sense to him. After all, in the first place, these hobgoblins should have been created from the dark orbs that the demon king had released into the human world.

While the demon commander didn't understand why the hobgoblins were now following the order of the elves, he didn't believe that they would be able to break the shackles that the demon king had put on them.

Seeing that they didn't do anything, the demon commander decided that it wasn't worth it to do anything else about these hobgoblins. He would have time to figure out what was wrong with them once they were dead.

The demon commander's limbs started moving once more and there seemed to be even more of them that appeared. When the limbs came out, they seemed to propagate even more limbs on themselves as they reached towards the hobgoblins.

Moon saw this and said, "Distract it."

As soon as the hobgoblins received this order, they immediately jumped out.

They pulled out the weapons that had been on their backs and started slashing at the limbs that were approaching them.

These weapons were not just any normal weapons, these were rune weapons that had been forged by the dwarves. There was no resistance at all as they cut right through the limbs of the demon commander.

In no time at all, there were limbs flying all over the place with the way that the hobgoblins -cut them up.

But during this, the hobgoblins turned around and slashed out a few more times at the limbs that were already cut.

That was because there were some that were still moving after being cut.

There was black corruption energy that came out of these limbs that kept them moving even after being cut off. So the hobgoblins had to cut them a second time, cutting them into pieces to make sure that they wouldn't be able to do anything.

Though that just meant that the hands had to take some time to recover since the black corruption energy kept them alive.

It seemed like the hobgoblins would be overwhelmed with the way that the limbs were surrounding them.

It seemed like as long as they didn't have a way to deal with them, the hobgoblins would be surrounded and then smothered by these limbs.

Before that could happen, Moon suddenly raised the branch from the Tree of Life in her hand. As soon as she raised the branch, there were roots that came out of the ground. These roots were different from before, they didn't try to wrap around the limbs that were there in the air.

Instead, it formed a single root spear that was aimed at the demon commander.

The demon commander had been so focused on the hobgoblins that he didn't have time to raise his guard until it was too late. At the same time, there was nothing that the demon commander could do since all of its limbs were focused on attacking the hobgoblins.

The root spear pierced right into the chest of the demon commander and there was this smoke that came from the hole that it pierced through.

The demon commander looked like it was being drained of its vitality as it suddenly looked

like it was aging.

It was as if it was losing all of its life force with the way that wrinkles appeared.

In no time at all, the demon commander suddenly fell forward towards the root spear, driving it further into its body.

The more that the root spear pierced into the demon commander, the more that it started to

burn.

Eventually, the demon commander turned into ashes when it collapsed on the ground.
