Chapter 1188: Merman Academy



"What did you say?" The former crown prince said in a confused and surprised voice when he heard this.

He looked at the Merman King as if he couldn't understand what he just said, but the Merman King had a smile on his face when he saw him like this.

With that same smile on his face, the Merman King said, "You heard me, I want you to become the principal of the school that we'll be setting up for the kids."

Even more confusion appeared on the former crown prince's face when he heard this.

He just looked at the Merman King with this same confused look for a while before finally saying, "Is that important right now? Isn't there something that's more urgent happening at this moment?"

The Merman King was still calm as he shook his head and said, "No, it's related to what's happening right now. After all, we're deciding on a punishment and this will be the punishment."

It didn't seem like it was really a punishment from how they viewed it, but if the Merman King was saying that it was a punishment...

But the former crown prince's expression slowly changed as he looked at the Merman King. It seemed like he was slowly realizing something.

"This..." The former crown prince seemed to want to say something, but the Merman King raised his hand to stop him before turning to look at the five young sea witches that were frozen in ice.

After looking at them, a faint smile appeared on his lips as he said, "I'm sure that it won't be easy dealing with them. Their punishment will be to go to the academy and learn how to become proper sea witches. With how they've acted, I'm sure that they won't be easy to handle."

Though the royal guards didn't seem happy that he was giving this light punishment in the first place.

Still, the Merman King had spoken, so it wasn't their place to say anything.

Once the Merman King gave his sentence, he said, "Take them away and put them under house arrest for now." After a pause, he turned to Puffer and Zyra to ask, "Is it safe to touch the ice to move them?"

That bottle shattered and it didn't seem like anything happened, but Puffer said, "It's fine now. There's a barrier around them that will keep the ice from spreading, so you can move them now."

The Merman King raised a brow as if he doubted this at first, but he eventually gave a nod and said to the royal guards, "Take them away then."

The royal guards seemed hesitant, but in the end, they still followed the orders and took the Five True Witches of the Sea away from this place. Though they did leave half of them here to guard the Merman King.

Still, that gap was enough for the Merman King to say a few things in private with the former crown prince.

With my sharp ears, I was able to hear what they said.

"It'll be as you dreamed of when you were younger. You'll be able to teach the younger generation like you wanted." The Merman King said in a bright voice.

"Ha, I never thought that it would be like this." The former crown prince said with a sigh.

"Regardless of how it is, isn't it a good thing to chase your dreams?"

"Thank you." The former crown prince said in a soft voice, almost as if he was embarrassed. "Instead of thanking me, you should think of a way to make this academy the best possible. This Merman Academy will be the place where both the youths from the Merman Empire and the sea witches study together, so it will be the basis of our future dream. I hope that you will understand what this means." The Merman King said in a more serious voice.

"I know." The former crown prince said in an equally serious voice.

It seemed that there was nothing to worry about.

With these two brothers working together, the Merman Empire and the sea witches would come together in time.
