Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 169 Last Slot, Opening MVP Chest

Almond focused back on the current task.

He chose to use Rising Dragon's Roar as the second skill rune. It wasn't a skill but a combat art he had created, but he could turn it into a skill rune.

After creating the skill rune, he embedded it into the second slot.

'Now, what should I do for the third one…' Almond's eyes glinted. 'I want a weapon art that can become a good common attacking method with my sword. I want it to be flexible. Not just one pattern type of attack, but a variety I can weave and unleash myself.'

Weapon Art was usually flexible because the user actively wielded and controlled them. Channeling Mana into their weapons, weaving it, and unleashing a powerful, unpredictable, and fancy attack akin to a skill.

Combat Art was using the entire body, some skills, and movements to execute a powerful attack, like how Almond flies up and moves like lightning with a dragon's avatar around him that holds and builds up power depending on his Mana consumption before unleashing a burst of lightning force in from his sword when using Rising Dragon's Roar, enveloping target into a maelstrom of golden lightning with countless blade projectiles storming inside and shredding the target.

Weapon Art was a bit different as that allowed users to instantly release an attack from one's weapons during intense fights.

So Almond wanted something with variety in it as he wanted to unleash different types of attacks from this one weapon art.

The sword thread that Almond had created was a type of Weapon Art, albeit a low-level one. He had also created his first skill rune based on that weapon art—Serpentcoil Thread Blade, which could wrap the sharp and flexible sword thread around a target in a spring shape, slicing and dicing weaker targets instantly. (Ch.94 for reference).

But this time, Almond wanted some cool projectile-type attacks from this weapon art.

'Sword of Imperishable Zenith should give the raw power effects to this Weapon Art since it's a buff-type skill. Rising Dragon's Roar will give it sufficient practicality about the projectile bursts and variety given its entire process and final attack, so what do I need for the third one?'

'Voltron Edge is too simple. It's just enchantment buff.'

'Lightning Dragon's Tail can manifest anywhere within a certain range and deal burst damage with high push-back impact power, but….no, not this.'

'Hmmm…' Almond looked at the list of his class skills.

—Sprit Pocket/Spirit Kodoku (SS)

—Spirit Explosion/Spirit Nuke (SS)

—Spirit Devour (SS)

—Spirit Forge Factory (SSS)

—Spirit Syringe (SS)

—Divine Divider's Harvest (L)

—Espada Ad Grimveil (L)

—Unveiled Catastrophe (L)

'Let me see what I get from my high-ranking skill scrolls. Given my current high stats and my brain, I might be able to learn a skill fast as long as it's at SSS rank or below. I've yet to open my new MVP chest as well. I should open all possibilities first, and if I don't find anything good, I can go with Divine Divider's Harvest or Espada Ad Grimveil.'

Almond had acquired two High-ranking skill scrolls from the 2nd Floor's MVP Reward chest. He hadn't opened them yet, so he started with them.

He got two high-ranking skill scrolls from the 2nd floor's MVP chest and 1 Advanced skill scroll from the 3rd floor's MVP chest, and he had two more Advanced skill scrolls from the party chest for placing first rank in the 3rd floor and 4th floor's Grimworld Leaderboard.

He had already opened his second and third Advanced skill scrolls, but the growth-type skills he got from them weren't suitable for the weapon art he desired. If they were, he would've held off on using this Synthesis Forge and would've definitely spent 24 hours learning a skill from them before doing this.

Shaking his head, Almond began as he opened the first high-ranking skill scroll.

It glowed before texts and information appeared on it of an S-rank skill.

Aqua Nova Halcyon: Forms a spiraling jet of crystalline water that swirls around the caster, then explodes outward in a rejuvenating burst, healing allies while knocking back enemies. The caster can target allies and enemies with intention using their Focus Field, and the area of effect can be enlarged depending on Mana consumption.

'Interesting. So, the outward burst is the same but affects allies and enemies differently, healing allies while damaging and knocking away enemies. It can be useful when a party is getting swarmed upon by monsters from all sides.'

'But not suitable for the Weapon Art I desire. Next.'

Almond opened the second skill scroll and got an SS-rank skill.

'These high-ranking skill scrolls are crazy too…'

Almond was tempted to learn this SS-rank skill, but for elemental skills of S-rank and above from these scrolls, people needed to meet some requirements to learn them, as they required elemental mastery to be able to weave skills of this level of complexity.

He didn't have Water elemental mastery, so even if he followed the steps and created the skill rune, he wouldn't be able to execute Aqua Nova Halcyon.

And this SS-rank skill was the same—Infernal Maw: Summons a fiery fissure beneath targets, snapping shut with scorching teeth of magma.

Magma elemental mastery was hard to learn and acquire mastery from scratch since it was an advanced element. He would need a Magma elemental stone or have mastery over Fire and Earth both to then acquire mastery over the Magma element.

'Alright, let's open the MVP chest of the 4th Floor,' Almond took out the MVP chest, his anticipation growing.

It was time to find out the riches of his third MVP chest.

The chest burst open with colorful sparks, and orbs spewed out along with the list of rewards.

2 x Random Legendary Ore Material.

2 x Random Legendary Herb.

1 x Legendary-rank Gear Set (low-tier)

1 x Elemental Insight Selection Slab.

1 x Instant Learning High-ranking Skill Stone.

5 x Grand Abyss Labyrinth Roulette Tickets.

'Two new types of rewards,' Almond's eyes shone, and he quickly checked them.

[Elemental Insight Selection Slab]

-Rank: Special.

-Details:

—> Activating the slab by infusing Mana will show you five random elements to choose from. [0.1% chance for Exotic Element to appear in the list of options.]

—> Upon choosing an element, the slab will transform into the selected elemental slab. Afterward, you can infuse Mana again into the slab and let your consciousness drift into the dimension of the selected element for 24 hours, granting you an opportunity to acquire elemental mastery of the element.

-Warning Note:

—> Exotic Elements are way harder to comprehend and can drive people into a state of unique madness if overwhelmed forever. It is advisable that only those who have awakened their Soul and transcended may choose this option, and even then, they must proceed cautiously.

'Holy crap…' Almond was dumbfounded. 'More new information! Soul Awakening, huh, I wonder what that is…'

'But whatever it is, I can't hope to achieve it anytime soon, I feel.'

Almond didn't want to ignore the warning note, so even if he triggered that 0.1% chance and got an Exotic Element in the options, he wasn't going to choose it.

Almond put this slab and everything into his storage ring except for the Instant Learning High-ranking Skill Stone.

[Instant Learning High-ranking Skill Stone]

-Rank: Special

-Details:n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

—> Infusing the Mana in the stone will transform the stone into a random high-ranking skill rune, which you can instantly learn.

—> If the skills require elemental mastery and you lack related elemental mastery, you will still be able to execute the skill in its default state, though you won't be able to modify or execute it at a higher power.

He had never gotten a skill stone before, and it appeared that it was something that could allow one to learn the skill instantly, just like using that Instant-learning skill slab his party had acquired in the 2nd Floor's heroic boss slaying chest.

The only difference was that the Instant learning skill slab was like a slot in which they could put any skill scroll and instantly learn the skill by getting its knowledge, but that still required elemental mastery if the skill was elemental to execute it.

'Not bad, let's see what I get,' Almond infused Mana into the skill stone.

The stone glowed and transformed into a translucent stone with bubbling gray mist whirling inside.

[Dire Mist Dispersion]

-Rank: SS

-Elements: Mist, Darkness.
