Chapter 58 The Silver Serpent Evolved, Sylvaris!
Arthur summoned every ounce of mana he had left, activating Shadow Bind once more.
The shadows surged forward, wrapping tightly around the serpent's glowing body. It writhed and hissed, but the spell held—barely.
"Hit it with everything you've got! This is our only chance!" Arthur roared.
Sunless charged straight for the serpent's exposed underbelly, landing a devastating strike.

'Damn, I just completed an S-Level quest and an A-level quest at once. I'm rich!' He chuckled, before picking up the loot the Silver Serpent dropped after its death.
"The rewards for this hidden quest are broken, that's insane work!" He let out in exasperation, as he read through the rewards.

"This Serpent really is generous," Arthur chuckled, looking at the dead body of the serpent in front of him.

Arthur read the skill description again, his eyes widening as he absorbed the details.
Arthur stared at the screen, his mouth open wide. "This is insane…" he muttered, gripping the skill book tightly.
An image of himself surrounded by enemies, daggers whirling in a deadly arc, played in his mind. His smirk grew as he imagined the chaos he could unleash with this skill.
"This is perfect for farming mobs and dealing with groups of players. With this, I can decimate anyone who dares to gang up on me." He closed the notification with a flick of his finger.
Arthur glanced at his dagger, the platinum glinting faintly in the cave and placed it in the inventory. Arthur quickly wore the Iron Boots that he had received giving him a slight boost in his agility.

Arthur stood tall, a wide grin plastered across his face as he admired the Silver Serpent before him. Its scales glinted like polished silver in the dim cave light, and its massive body radiated an aura of pure power.
"Not bad..." Arthur let out, his voice barely above a whisper as he stepped closer, his confidence growing with each step.
Arthur reached out and took its fangs for John, next his hand hovered over the dead body of the serpent.
Arthur chuckled, "Ari—" He coughed mid-sentence, quickly regaining composure. "Awaken!"
A swirling portal of shadow materialized beneath the serpent, its energy pulling the massive beast into its vortex. For a brief moment, the cave was silent, but then the portal flared again, and the serpent emerged, its massive form coiling around Arthur protectively.
The force of the portal's release sent a gust of wind through the cave, forcing Arthur to shield his face with his arm. The energy coalesced, solidifying into the massive, awe-inspiring form of the Silver Serpent now marked as his.
A low, rumbling hiss echoed in the cave as the serpent slithered forward, lowering its head to Arthur and rubbing against him like a loyal pet.
Arthur smirked, stepping back slightly, still taking in the sheer size and majesty of the creature. "Well, aren't you a big softie now."
A soft chime echoed in his mind as the system notifications appeared.
[You have summoned the Silver Serpent. They are now completely and utterly loyal to you. They will do as you instruct them without fail. You have the right to name them.]
[Would you like to name the 'Silver Serpent'] [Yes/No]
"Yes," Arthur muttered, his grin widening. "Sylvaris."
[Name Confirmed. The summoned 'Silver Serpent' is now called 'Sylvaris.']
Sylvaris raised its head, letting out a low hiss that reverberated through the cave walls. Its silver eyes gleamed with understanding as it coiled protectively around Arthur, towering over him like a massive guardian.
Arthur placed a hand on its scales again, feeling a surge of pride at his growing number of summons. "Sylvaris, huh?"
Arthur's eyes scanned the status screen in front of him, a grin creeping across his face with each detail he read.

"Sylvaris you are strong!!" he muttered, a wide smile spreading across his face as excitement coursed through him. "I'm going to get carried straight to the pinnacle with this guy!"
Arthur couldn't hold back his enthusiasm as he stepped closer, running his hand along Sylvaris's gleaming silver scales.
Sylvaris let out a low hiss, leaning slightly into his touch as if acknowledging its master's approval. Arthur chuckled, rubbing its scales with affection. "You're a real powerhouse, aren't you?"
The serpent's glowing eyes met Arthur's, filled with what almost seemed like pride. Arthur laughed. "We're going to wreck anyone who gets in our way, Sylvaris."
Arthur's gaze locked onto Sylvaris before he asked. "Sylvaris, how did you evolve from being a pseudo-rare boss to becoming an epic rank boss so quickly?" His tone was sharp, his curiosity laced with suspicion. "This isn't normal. If it were, every monster would have done it by now. So, what happened?"
The serpent hissed lowly, coiling slightly, its massive silver head lowering as if recalling the event.
Arthur tilted his head, narrowing his eyes. "So you're saying someone entered this cave while you were asleep?" he asked, piecing together the details. "A person... wounded, bloodied. They collapsed in front of you?"
Sylvaris gave a low, rumbling hiss in response, its shimmering scales reflecting the dim light.
Arthur's brows furrowed as his mind raced. "And instead of, I don't know, helping him or ignoring him... you ate him." He crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow. "Of course, you did."
The serpent's long body shifted slightly, the soft sound of its scales brushing against the cave floor. Arthur tapped his foot, urging more of the story out of it. "Wait—you're telling me the guy had a glowing fruit in his hand? And you ate that too?"
Sylvaris raised its head slightly, the faintest glimmer of pride flashing in its silver eyes.
Arthur's arms dropped to his sides as he processed the information. "So the fruit is what caused your evolution. It boosted you enough to push your talent from C-Rank to A-Rank, and then you just... fell asleep while the transformation happened?"
"And you woke up to me entering your cave after that." He said, confirming.
The serpent gave a low, confirming hiss, its head tilting slightly.
"When did this happen?" Arthur asked, his tone serious.
Sylvaris's massive body coiled further, and Arthur took the hiss as its answer. "A day ago... Of course. So the transformation took around a day."
Arthur rubbed the back of his neck, his gaze drifting toward the cave entrance. "A fruit that can push a pseudo-elite to epic rank... that's not just a treasure, that's a treasury. Whoever that man was, he was carrying something powerful. And he died protecting it... only to have you eat it."
