Chapter 404: Chapter 404: John Takes Action, Thunderstrike's Secret Move
"Hm? What do you mean by that?" Sword Demon stared at John, still cautious, his expression full of confusion.
John replied calmly, "Sword Demon, sooner or later we will have our battle, but not today."
Sword Demon furrowed his brow, not quite understanding the situation.
Wasn't John one of Thunderstrike's people? Why was he helping them?
Their situation seemed all but hopeless. Even if John and his group joined in, it wouldn't make a difference.
Great Bear was also somewhat surprised but still spoke up, "Human, I'm grateful for your help. But this is not something you should be involved in. Leave now."
He was severely injured. No matter how strong John was, he couldn't change the outcome. In fact, it could very well cost him his life.
"The big guy is really strong! And Spoorate is strong too!" Spoorate stood on John's shoulder, speaking seriously.
Great Bear's expression changed slightly, and he sensed this had something to do with the little girl.
He looked at Spoorate, his gaze softening with tenderness as his voice quivered, "Little girl, do you remember me?"
As he spoke, he extended his hand, but when he saw the bloodstains covering his palm, he froze mid-motion.
Spoorate beamed at him, not at all bothered. She grabbed Great Bear's hand and
affectionately rubbed her cheek against it, saying, "Big guy, I've come to save you. Are you moved?"
Everyone else was completely baffled. They couldn't understand the relationship between this little girl and Great Bear.
"Human, daring to betray me, you will die!" At that moment, Thunderstrike roared furiously, lightning crackling around him as he charged toward John.
The one thing Thunderstrike couldn't tolerate was betrayal from his subordinates.
"Get lost!" Great Bear stepped forward, positioning himself in front of John. His expression was no longer the gentle one from before, now replaced with a murderous intent. He swung his massive fist down with all his might.
This time, he nearly exhausted every ounce of his strength.
Boom!
The space shook. Despite his injuries, Great Bear was still not someone Thunderstrike could contend with.
Blood splattered everywhere as Thunderstrike was sent flying, crashing violently to the ground.
He struggled to get up, suppressing the internal injuries, his expression cold as he hissed, "Did you really think this human could save you? Attack. Kill them all."
At his command, the group once again retrieved a large number of Black Demon Bombs, which began to converge on them.
John's expression shifted slightly. The power of the Black Demon Bomb was terrifying; even in his Heaven and Earth Transformation state, he wouldn't be able to stop them.
"Forest King, cover me!" he called out, immediately retreating behind Great Bear.
"Got it!" Great Bear stepped forward, facing the incoming Black Demon Bombs. Without dodging, he activated his dharma form and braced himself to take the hits with his body. Boom! Boom!
The explosive sounds echoed, and the terrifying energy stirred the air, shaking the space itself. Cracks appeared in the surrounding area. Great Bear, bloodied, was sent staggering backward by the force of the blasts.
Spoorate clenched her fists, her eyes burning with anger.
John's expression turned serious as he unleashed the Purple Flame Hellfire once more, enveloping everyone.
But this time, it wasn't to harm them. Rather, it was to eradicate the parasitic worms deep within their souls.
Before the others could react, the Purple Flame Hellfire had already merged with their souls, swiftly purging the parasitic worms and destroying them.
John turned to the group, his voice cold. "Stop! The parasitic worms inside you have been eliminated. Now you have two choices: either oppose the Forest King, or kill Thunderstrike and redeem yourselves!"
Hearing John's words, the group hesitated for a moment, then quickly halted their attacks. Their expressions were filled with joy. They were all top-tier warriors, and they had long harbored resentment against Thunderstrike for using such vile methods to control them. Now that the threat was gone, they almost immediately moved to stand with John.
"Lord Forest King, I was threatened by that despicable man, Thunderstrike. I am willing to assist you!" one of them said, flying to Great Bear's side.
"Lord, I too was coerced into this."
One after another, they flew over. Most of them had been controlled by Thunderstrike using the parasitic worms.
Now that the worms were gone, they had long since grown to hate Thunderstrike.
However, there were still about ten people who resolutely chose to remain behind Thunderstrike.
They had mutual interests with him, and given their past actions, the Forest King would never spare them.
John barely even glanced at these few individuals. The tide had turned. They were nothing more than a fleeting annoyance and would have no impact on the outcome.
Thunderstrike, watching this unfold, had a terrifyingly grim expression. He stared at John and said coldly, "Human, you are impressive. But do you really think this will be enough to defeat
me?"
His tone was filled with disdain. In his eyes, these people were nothing more than expendable tools. His true trump card was not them.
Spoorate look at the injured Great Bear, her voice:
hurt the big guy. I'm going to cripple him."
with anger. "Big brother, this guy
"Alright!" John agreed without hesitation. His thoughts stirred, and the massive sword from The Immortals' legacy was summoned.
"World-in-Hand!" Thunderstrike felt the fluctuations in space and snarled, "Your World-in- Hand wasn't destroyed?"
He felt like he had been played by John from the very start.
John had mastered Hellfire and effortlessly wiped out his parasitic worms. Now, his World-
in-Hand was still intact.
John didn't bother answering. He gripped the giant sword tightly with both hands.
Spoorate jumped onto his hand, perched lightly on his fingers.
Whoosh!
John's arm bulged with muscle as he put all his strength into swinging the giant sword with
all his might, aiming it at Thunderstrike.
The wind howled, and a crushing pressure filled the air.
Thunderstrike's expression shifted slightly as he sensed the terrifying power contained in the
sword. In response, a long spear materialized in his hand, crackling with lightning as he
thrust it toward the giant sword.
Boom!
Electricity flashed, and both he and John were sent flying backward.
Crackling arcs of lightning surged, carrying with them a soul-piercing attack.
John felt a wave of numbness, his mind ringing. Fortunately, his soul was strong, and he
wasn't injured.
"Spoorate, are you alright?" he looked at her with concern.
The little girl shook her head, her expression unchanged. "I'm fine."
It seemed the lightning attack had no effect on her at all.
John breathed a sigh of relief and turned to the others standing by Great Bear. He shouted
angrily, "What are you waiting for? Deal with this guy!"
Only then did the group react, roaring in fury as they charged at Thunderstrike.
They had been humiliated for so long, their resentment boiling over, and they struck without
mercy.
Thunderstrike still had his Black Demon Bombs, but under the intense assault from the
group, he was completely unable to defend himself and was forced to retreat repeatedly. "Human, do you really think these guys can ruin my plan? Today, you, Forest King, and everyone here will die!" His expression twisted with malice. He flew backward, and the surrounding space fluctuated as Dragon Ascending City materialized.
He immediately activated World-in-Hand.
John's eyes narrowed in confusion, and then, from within Dragon Ascending City, countless
shadowy figures soared toward them.
They were Black Magicians!
Thunderstrike had indeed colluded with the Celestial Vault.
John's expression grew serious. The Black Magicians before them numbered in the tens of
thousands, with the leader among them exuding an aura so powerful that it was not at all inferior to Great Bear's. He was a peak Nine-Star expert.
"Lord Nick, please take care of it," Thunderstrike addressed the leader respectfully, his tone
dripping with deference.
"Hmph, a bunch of circus clowns," the man called Nick sneered disdainfully. He glanced at Forest King and coldly ordered, "First, destroy Forest King's World-in-Hand."
With a single command, another wave of Black Demon Bombs surged toward them.
Boom! Boom!
The terrifying energy reverberated, ripping through the Void as chaotic currents surged
wildly.
Great Bear's World-in-Hand was on the brink of collapse, seemingly moments away from
destruction.
He was already gravely injured, and if World-in-Hand were to shatter, his soul would surely
be destroyed in the backlash. It was certain death.
John couldn't let that happen.
He furrowed his brows, and the United Sword appeared in his hand. Chaos Force surged as
Creation and Destruction manifested.
Hum!
A massive sword beam shot forward, its overwhelming momentum sweeping through the air, causing the surrounding spatial rifts to close in an instant.
Thunderstrike froze, momentarily stunned by the sight. He stared at John in disbelief. "What
skill is this?"
The World-in-Hand, which had been on the verge of disintegration, was instantly restored.
Great Bear, too, stared in disbelief. He had already prepared himself for the destruction of World-in-Hand and the inevitable soul backlash that would follow.
John turned to him and said, "Senior, I'll help stabilize your World-in-Hand. Can you take on
those Black Robe people?"
"No problem!" Great Bear, no longer worried about the World-in-Hand collapsing, became reinvigorated. With a furious roar, his aura exploded, and he charged directly at Nick, the
Nine-Star Black Robe powerhouse.
Boom!
He struck with a massive punch, no fancy moves, just sheer power. The force sent several
Black Robes flying through the air.
Only Nick barely managed to block the attack.
"Dammit, form the formation!" Thunderstrike shouted in fury, charging toward Great Bear.
The surrounding Black Robes joined forces, their powerful dark laws swirling and locking
down the entire space.
Boom! Boom!
The booming sounds echoed as the terrifying energy swept through the area. Great Bear's
World-in-Hand was powerful, but it still couldn't withstand the combined assault from the Black Robes.
Space shattered, and endless spatial turbulence surged, indiscriminately destroying
everything in its path.
Luckily, John was there.
Not only did he use his divine skill, Heaven and Earth Transformation, to repair the broken
space.
But as long as Great Bear's World-in-Hand remained intact, they would remain in an undefeated position here.
Thunderstrike noticed this and coldly ordered, "Kill that human first!"
He gave the command and immediately charged toward John. "Thunderstrike, your opponent is me!" A sword light howled through the air, and Sword
Demon stepped in front of John, his battle intent raging. He wielded his large blade with
sweeping, unstoppable attacks.
"Scum, get out of my way!" Thunderstrike cursed, his pressure intensifying. Without the parasitic worms controlling him, Thunderstrike was no match for Sword Demon. His only remaining trump card was the Black Demon Bomb.
But those were consumables. If they ran out, he would most likely be doomed. "Don't worry about me. You all kill that John!" Thunderstrike gritted his teeth, desperately
fending off Sword Demon's attacks. He turned to his nearby subordinates, commanding them. These subordinates were all Lords of Advanced Cities, so their strength was not to be
underestimated.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
"Rest assured. I'll take care of that guy," one of them responded without hesitation, charging
directly at John.
Whoosh!
The winds howled, and the terrifying power of laws surged once more.
Even with Heaven and Earth Transformation and a 200x attribute boost, John still wasn't a match for these opponents. The situation was dire.
Moreover, he had to continuously use Creation and Destruction to repair the damaged world.
If Great Bear's World-in-Hand was destroyed, they would all be doomed. "Godslayer, I'll help you!" A long, resonant dragon's roar echoed, and Cand-Dragon gritted her teeth as she charged at an Eight-Star powerhouse.
"You're courting death!" the Eight-Star Black Robe sneered, easily blocking Cand-Dragon's
attack with a dismissive gesture.
At the same time, Sini and the other women decisively made their move, doing their best to
alleviate the pressure on John.
