Chapter 188: Chapter 188: Uchiha Akira's Eye Techniques
Chapter 188: Uchiha Akira's Eye Techniques
All this time, Uchiha Akira had been wondering when he'd finally awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan.
After all, being reborn as Uchiha Akira but not unlocking the Mangekyō Sharingan would just feel... incomplete.
It's like a guy walking into one of those foot massage places and not getting anything-come on, who does that?
However, Akira was fully aware of what it takes to unlock the Mangekyō Sharingan, which is why he never forced it.
He often told himself, "Even without the Mangekyō, I can still take down Uchiha Madara with my fists and kick Kaguya Ōtsutsuki into oblivion."
Why sacrifice the people I care about for some fancy upgrade, right?
But, as fate would have it, the Uchiha clan really does seem cursed.
Even with all his power, Akira had to witness Hinata's death right in front of his eyes.
The Mangekyō sharingan had awakened, but Akira couldn't find any joy in it.
Maybe no Uchiha ever felt happy about unlocking the Mangekyō.
Look at people like Obito and the others-if given a choice, they'd probably give up the Mangekyō in a heartbeat, right?
Akira's mind was completely fixated on Hinata's "body." It was like nothing else in the world mattered anymore as he walked toward her.
Seeing that Akira had awakened the Mangekyō, Pain became extremely cautious.
Not knowing what kind of eye technique he was dealing with, Pain wasn't going to take any chances.
But today's mission was to kill Uchiha Akira, and there was no way he could back down now.
With a simple thought, Pain raised his hand, and the overwhelming force of Shinra Tensei exploded toward Akira once more!
The terrifying repulsive force surged out instantly.
Yet, Akira didn't even flinch. He completely ignored Pain's Shinra Tensei and kept walking toward Hinata's body.
"What... What kind of ability is this?" Pain couldn't believe what he was seeing. His Shinra Tensei had done nothing, not even ruffle Akira's clothing!
This had to be some kind of eye technique. Otherwise, even if Akira was strong enough to resist the attack, his clothes should've at least been affected, right?
As Akira continued moving toward Hinata, Pain made a quick decision and hurled two black rods directly at him.
But again, Akira didn't even stop.
The black rods passed right through Akira's body, embedding themselves into the ground behind him as if his entire body had turned into a ghostly figure!
"No way! This eye technique... why does it look so familiar?!" Even Obito, who had been fighting Tanshin Hime, turned to look at Akira, his expression full of surprise.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
Was Akira able to phase through attacks just like him? Did he have the same eye technique as Kamui?
That shouldn't be possible. The Mangekyō Sharingan was unique to each person, right? There was no way Akira could have the same power as him!
Leaving aside everyone else's shock, Akira's body remained fully intangible as he finally reached Hinata's side and gently lifted her into his arms.
She was light. So light.
Hinata, who had always had a well-developed figure, used to weigh about a hundred pounds. Akira had carried her many times before.
But now, holding her frail body, Akira estimated she barely weighed fifty pounds. She looked like a dried-up mummy.
"Wait...?"
As he held Hinata, something stirred inside Akira.
Holding her close, he could feel that even though her condition was critical, her heart was still beating-just barely.
It was like a flickering flame, on the verge of going out.
"Is it because her Byakugan is evolving toward the Tenseigan? Or could it be because of the Hashirama cells in her body, giving her stronger vitality than most?"
Feeling that faint heartbeat, Akira felt a glimmer of hope, like a ray of light shining through the darkness.
"Could it be... does he really have Kamui?" Obito watched in disbelief as Akira's body turned solid again while holding Hinata.
Was it possible for someone else to have the same eye technique?
Boom!
Just then, the massive barrier that had been blocking off the arena was finally broken, and one
by one, Konoha's ninjas flooded into the arena, rushing toward Akira.
"Retreat!" Pain shouted, glancing at the incoming wave of Konoha shinobi.
But Obito ignored him and charged straight at Akira.
Splitting off a wood clone, Akira had the clone carry Hinata to the Konoha Hospital at top
speed.
Then he turned his attention to Obito, his eyes burning with a fierce, murderous intent.
With a swift movement, Akira reached out to grab Obito's throat!
Obito didn't dodge. He had absolute faith in his Kamui.
But then-Akira's hand closed around Obito's neck!
"This... this can't be!" Obito's mind raced in disbelief. He had activated his phasing ability out
of habit-Akira's attack should have gone right through him.
So how had Akira managed to grab his throat?
Shocked but quick to react, Obito instantly pulled back, leaving deep claw marks on his neck.
It had been a close call. Akira had almost ripped his throat out.
Seeing the Konoha ninjas closing in, Obito retreated toward Pain.
Uchiha Itachi was already standing beside Pain as well.
Kisame raised Samehada and swung it hard toward Akira.
Without missing a beat, Akira summoned his Sage Art chakra, forming a Lightning Blade in
his hand. He lunged forward and drove it straight through Samehada!
Samehada wasn't an ordinary sword-it was a living creature.
Yet, Akira's Lightning Blade pierced right through it!
"Kisame, retreat!" Obito called out.
Kisame, unwilling to risk further damage to Samehada, immediately let go of the sword and
pulled back to join Obito.
Then, Obito activated Kamui. The spiral distortion of space engulfed Pain, Itachi, and Kisame, and in an instant, they all vanished.
Meanwhile, outside the arena, Deidara and Sasori, both injured and exhausted, had already retreated onto Deidara's white bird and flown high into the sky.
Sometimes, having the ability to fly really comes in handy-no one could stop them now.
Akira frowned as he watched Obito and the others disappear, his anger still burning hot.
He wanted to give chase, but with Hinata's condition still uncertain, he knew he had to
prioritize her.
Turning his attention back to Samehada, which was now writhing on the ground, Akira could hear the sword whimpering and begging for mercy.
"What, you think I'm going to let you live?" Akira sneered, understanding Samehada's pleas
for forgiveness.
Suddenly, more powerful lightning surged from Akira's body, the full force of the Chidori
Current.
A shrill scream echoed from Samehada, and under Akira's relentless lightning, it was
completely fried.
With a flick of his arm, Akira tossed the sword's charred remains aside, breaking Samehada
into pieces.
"From today, the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist will only have six swords left," Akira muttered coldly before speeding off toward the Konoha Hospital.
When he arrived, Tsunade was already there.
Without needing to ask, Tsunade immediately began working on Hinata with all her skill and
focus.
All Akira could do now was wait anxiously.
It wasn't long before Hiashi Hyuga and the others arrived one after another.
After waiting for what felt like forever, well into the night, Tsunade finally emerged from the
operating room.
The good news was that Hinata's life was no longer in danger.
The bad news was that the extreme chakra extraction had severely damaged her body. She had
entered a protective state-essentially, a coma.
There was no telling when she might wake up.
However, Tsunade explained that if they could find a way to restore Hinata's lost vitality, it
might be possible to wake her up sooner.
After spending the night by Hinata's side, Akira left the hospital, with Hanabi coming to take
over for him.
As he walked through the streets, the devastation of the recent battle was evident everywhere, and conversations buzzed all around him.
Some were in awe of Akira's strength, especially after witnessing Tree World Birth with their
own eyes.
Others were shocked by the sheer power of the enemies they had faced every member of the Akatsuki had been terrifyingly strong.
Akira didn't return to the Uchiha compound. Instead, he headed toward the Research
Department.
Healing Hinata was something Tsunade could handle on the medical front, but if they combined her skills with Orochimaru's, the results might be even better.
Since Tsunade didn't have any clear solutions at the moment, Akira figured it was time to
consult Orochimaru.
As he walked, Akira also thought about his Mangekyō Sharingan. Unlocking it this time had been something Akira hadn't expected, and if he had known it would happen, maybe Hinata wouldn't have been put in danger.
Now that both of his eyes had awakened the Mangekyō, each one held a unique eye technique.
Those techniques were...
