Nine Star Hegemon Body Arts

Chapter 5590: The Power of One Vein

The hundreds of thousands of dragon images ultimately merged into one, becoming Long Chen’s heaven vein dragon qi. It coiled gently around him, emanating a serene, unshakable aura.

Unlike other people’s heaven vein dragon qi that stretched miles long, Long Chen’s was only three feet long, appearing minuscule. However, his little heaven vein dragon qi was completely unique. It sparkled with astral light, and wherever it moved, a profound stillness followed. There could be no ruckus around it.

“Hahahaha!” Long Chen clenched his fists and laughed crazily. “I also have heaven vein dragon qi now!”

Born from the fusion of energy within his stars, this heaven vein dragon qi had fundamentally changed Long Chen’s aura. With its emergence, he felt as though the fabric of reality itself was within his grasp—one thought could birth life and another could extinguish gods. This feeling was indescribable.

Long Chen realized that he had condensed dragon qi unique to the nine star line. Perhaps it should be called astral dragon qi. Its presence had completely transformed his astral energy, elevating it to an unfathomable level.

“After all that effort, you only condensed that tiny thing?” scoffed a gigantic six-vein Heaven Saint, his voice dripping with disdain.

Six massive heaven vein dragon qi swirled menacingly around this man as he stepped forward. He shouted, “Don’t think you can fool us! This changes nothing. You’re going to die here!”

The man’s spear lunged toward Long Chen’s head, carrying the full might of a six-vein Heaven Saint. His killing intent was overwhelming, fueled by grief and rage over the death of his kin by the astral lake’s eruption. He had placed the blame on Long Chen.

However, just as the spear neared its target, it froze mid-air, stopping precisely three feet from Long Chen.

“What?!”

Gasps rippled through the onlookers. Long Chen hadn’t moved a muscle, nor had his expression changed.

Long Chen simply stared at the spear in front of him. It was shaking as the burly man tried to push it forward. However, despite his immense effort, it wouldn’t budge.

The burly man stared in horror as a thin, crystalline membrane shimmered faintly in the air before the tip of the spear, nearly invisible save for the specks of starlight flickering within it.

Long Chen looked at the barrier calmly, though inwardly, he was astonished. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

A single heaven vein dragon qi allows my astral energy to flow through heaven and earth as I please. This… feels incredible!

BOOM!

The astral dragon qi vibrated subtly, causing the space in front of Long Chen to erupt. Just like that, the spear disintegrated into countless fragments, which tore through its master’s body like a hailstorm. As a result, the six-vein Heaven Saint was sent flying and reduced to a bloody pulp. No one knew whether he lived or died.

A stunned silence descended. No one had seen Long Chen lift a finger, yet a six-vein Heaven Saint had been crushed as though he were nothing. Just how strong was Long Chen now? ṙ𝔞𐌽ỒBΕꞩ

Xia Feng, Yan Tong, Xing Yue, and the other peak experts immediately retreated. As combat veterans, they knew they had to run the minute things turned sour.

“Do you think you can leave?” Long Chen sneered, wondering where they threw away their arrogance.

Raising his hand, Long Chen allowed his astral dragon qi to coil around his arm like a serpent. With a slow but sure motion, he pointed a finger at the trio.

The moment he did so, a chill ran through their souls. Death itself seemed to loom over them. Panicking, they scattered, fleeing in three separate directions.

This way, Long Chen’s attack would only hit one of them, and it would depend on their luck.

Long Chen’s finger twitched, and a flash of astral energy coalesced into an arrow. It shot forward with blinding speed.

“No!” shouted Xing Yue the unlucky as she smashed her hatchets behind her.

BOOM!

Xing Yue accurately struck Long Chen’s arrow, but her hatchets simply exploded. After that, her surrounding space warped into a void, and a bubble filled with countless stars appeared where she had been. It expanded briefly before collapsing with a pop, unleashing a whirlpool that devoured everything in its vicinity.

Xia Feng and Yan Tong paled, their bodies trembling. Xing Yue’s power was comparable to theirs, yet she had been annihilated easily. When her full-power attack struck the astral arrow, it didn’t even cause the slightest ripple.

“This is the dragon qi of the nine star line?” Long Chen muttered, equally astonished. “Its power… this is far beyond what I expected.”

Long Chen had known that his astral energy had gone through a huge transformation, enough to one-shot Xing Yue. However, he hadn’t expected his simple attack to be enough to wipe her out dozens of times over.

The Earth Cauldron’s voice rang in his mind. “Don’t waste its energy. Your heaven vein source hasn’t matured, and recovering this strength will take time.”

Noticing the faint depletion in his astral dragon qi’s aura, Long Chen lowered his hand. He was tempted to eliminate the remaining two opponents, but he then chose to conserve his newfound strength.

Feigning another attack, Long Chen raised both hands, and starlight glinted ominously around him. He pointed at the two of them.

“No!” Xia Feng screamed in terror, losing all composure.

In his blind panic, he even peed himself as he fled, leaving a small stream behind him.

“Hmph, even if I can’t kill you, I’ll scare you to death,” muttered Long Chen.

His disdainful gaze swept over the now-empty battlefield. Everyone else had already fled, leaving him alone in the dry lakebed.
