Chapter 436 Melting Point
Cough !
Yumi gasped for air, her face drained of color after being attack. She was on the brink of death, and had it not been for my extraordinary and awesome abilities, she would not have survived.
"She's injured," I muttered to myself, noting her condition.
First, I administered some first aid to heal her wounds using my light healing. The intense heat from the flames had lacerated her skin, so I prioritized treating it to prevent infection.
"W— What's… happening?" she asked with a weak voice but her tone was more relaxed now. She looked at me, her expression showing her confusion.
"Nothing you need to worry about," I replied, my voice steady despite the annoyance coursing through my veins. "Just stay close to me, and you'll be fine."
If I had been just a second later, no matter how powerful I was, I couldn't have brought someone back from the dead.
After soothing her nerves , I tapped into my abilities to assess the enemy's status.
He was middle-aged, but there was something about him that hinted at being older than he appeared. In fact, his face struck me as oddly familiar.

"Lee Byeonu," I muttered aloud, a grin spreading across my face as the pieces of the puzzle started to fall into place. "Don't tell me you're Lee Hyeonu's father?"
It was then that Byeonu faced became more serious .
"How do you know my son?" he asked through gritted teeth.
I let out a short laugh, "Oh, I know him very well. I killed him like a pig,"
Initially, I had considered killing him immediately, but that was too boring.
Byeonu's expression contorted even further, a mix of disbelief and rage etched into his features. If looks could kill, I would have died countless times over already.
"You're the one who killed my son. I will fucking kill you !" he berated angrily, flames erupting all over his body
"Ah, yes, I more or less crashed him to death. He was so weak, I nearly mistook him as shit," I chuckled, unable to suppress my laugh at the memory.
"So what, you're here for revenge? Let me guess, you're searching for Kanon but couldn't find her?" A smile crept onto my face as I came up with a hypothesis about the situation.
Kanon was his final link to his son, but she went off the radar after joining me. Desperate to find her, he resorted to targeting Yumi, who happened to be her close friend, in hopes of locating her.
"You'll pay for killing him!" His scream echoed through the room, filled with raw anguish and fury.
"Are you sure? I'm really powerful. You might die even faster than your useless son," I taunted him, finding amusement in his ignorance.
He was like a frog in a well, unaware of the vastness of the world.
My powers no longer operated within the same realm as theirs. Part of rank 10 in Asia? They were like ants trying to challenge a giant elephant.
Just then, the room seemed to grow hotter, and I could feel a strange energy coursing through the air. His fury seemed to fuel his hidden potential as his body started glowing with blue light. It was so intense that he practically transformed into a walking, talking human torch.
The flames that danced around him turned blue as well, mirroring the light emanating from his skin.
The temperature in the room continued to rise, and the air grew thick with the smell of burning flesh.
"AHHHHHH!" Those who had survived the initial attack and were merely feigning unconsciousness began to scream as the intense heat engulfed them.
Their bodies felt like they were roasting in an invisible oven. I couldn't help but admit, his flames were far hotter than his son.
However—
"Is that the best you've got?" I taunted him with a smirk.
While I concentrated on shielding Yumi from the flames, I remained unfazed by this level of threat.
"Come on, turn up the heat! I'm getting cold out here," I continued to taunt him, adding insult to injury.
He stayed quiet, putting all his energy into himself. It was clear he was getting ready for a big attack.
"You know, I'm something of an elementalist myself," I remarked casually. With that, flames erupted from my body, but unlike his blue flames, mine blazed white and far hotter.
"AHHHHHH!" This time, the bystander didn't just get roasted; they turned into charcoal instantly. Talk about collateral damage.
He looked stunned as he realized he was being overwhelmed. He had taken pride in his power of flame, but I had effortlessly mocked him by summoning a version far more powerful.
"Let me lend a hand," another voice echoed, and a figure soared towards us. He too was enveloped in blue flames, but with a hint of white mixed in.
I quickly assessed his status and realized that the two were father and son.
"So the whole family's here, huh? Alright, I'll make sure you're reunited with your son in hell," I said with a sneered.
Their annoyance only seemed to fuel the intensity of their flames, making them burn even hotter.
Anticipating the imminent fight, I quickly teleported Yumi to another building to keep her safe.
The escalating heat between the three of us threatened to melt the metal support around us, and I knew the entire structure was on the brink of collapse.
"Burn!" Lee Byeonu and his father unleashed a concentrated burst of fire, so condensed it resembled a laser beam.
The air crackled and snapped as it pierced through the room, the blue-white flames leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
Their flames were powerful, but compared to the time wraiths' power, their attack felt like comparing a candle to a torch in terms of intensity.
As the flames got closer, I countered with my own flame attack.
BOOOOOM!
Their flames were no match for mine; they only served to fuel my own power.
My attack overwhelmed theirs, growing stronger with each ember that was extinguished. It became so one-sided that they were forced to dodge.
When my flames finally dissipated, the building could no longer withstand the strain, and it began to shake and crumble to the ground.
