Chapter 420: Ch.419 Taking Down the Reaper

Chapter 420: Ch.419 Taking Down the Reaper

It became like an ultra-long flexible sword, wobbling up and down like a measuring tape with each flick.

It still had sharp double-edged blades, but now it had the flexibility to bend.

This was exactly what Su Ming wanted. He turned the Godkiller into a flexible weapon, and it would have its unique uses.

He dragged the long golden flexible sword around one of the wing roots quietly, looping it around and connecting the sharp-edged ends.

He gave it a gentle tug, confirming it was secure.

"Cape, lift off!"

The Cloak of Levitation carried him upward. Using the speed of flight, Su Ming and Stranglehold held onto the weapon and yanked hard.

Blood erupted like a volcano!

In front of the Reaper, Donna, who was dodging with Detective Chimp in her grasp, suddenly heard a shrill scream from behind.

She turned her head and saw a huge black wing flying off like a leaf in the wind.

The wing was so massive that it instantly covered the sand dunes below like a thick feather blanket. But when it hit the ground, it kicked up a storm of dust, causing the ground to shake.

The Reaper staggered in midair, and the remaining five wings adjusted to stabilize its flight.

But the root of the severed wing kept gushing out black blood, emitting a nauseating stench.

"Uh, did this monster grow up drinking asphalt or something?"

Su Ming took the opportunity to land back on the creature's back. As he quietly tied the second wing with the "rope," he couldn't help but grumble in his mind.

Why do these things always have such a nasty stench when they become gigantic? Grumbling aside, his hands moved quickly. While the monster was still in shock and searching aimlessly for the enemy, Su Ming managed to pluck off another wing.

It was like an assassin strangling a target's neck with a piano wire—Agent 47 might be able to strangle a target to death, but Su Ming could decapitate them.

Extraordinary strength means greater possibilities.

Su Ming nodded with satisfaction as another wing fell to the ground. Barry seemed to be complaining from below that Su Ming was ruining his worksite.

The Flash paused and looked up at the sky with a resentful gaze.

He was working hard moving bricks while Su Ming was causing chaos above. Not only did feathers rain down, but black blood was everywhere, like it was raining, making a mess.

Now Barry had another job—cleaning up the bloodstains on the future amusement park construction site.

Su Ming shrugged at the ground. He couldn't worry about all that right now—Barry would have to figure it out.

There was no need to pluck all six wings—just five would do, and the Reaper would definitely be grounded.

The Raven Reaper wasn't Sephiroth, and this wasn't Final Fantasy.

But even though the Reaper was slow to react, it still realized the reason behind the wing losses after two consecutive attacks.

There was a tiny, silent little insect on its back, carrying a golden thread, slicing and slicing—two wings had already fallen off.

Because the target was so small and fast, the Reaper initially couldn't locate it.

When the Raven Reaper's six orange spotlight-like eyes finally locked onto him, Su Ming knew he'd been discovered.

Since stealth had been compromised, there was no other choice but to go all-in.

"Cape!"

The Cloak of Levitation understood and started weaving Su Ming between the Reaper's wings, playing hide-and-seek among the thick feathers at the wing roots.

The Raven Reaper hadn't been around for long, but it already hated its own thick black feathers for the first time in its life.

Once the tiny bug got in there, it basically disappeared instantly!

Of course, Stranglehold immediately turned Su Ming's armor pitch black, blending perfectly with the surroundings.

It had mimicked Batman before—this was familiar ground.

Soon, the Reaper screamed again as yet another wing left its body.

It began to thrash and roll wildly in the air. To avoid being hit by its erratic movements or getting entangled in the feathers, the Cloak pulled Su Ming out, creating some distance.

Donna and Bobo, watching, saw Su Ming enter the enemy's wing only for Batman to emerge.

Donna: "???"

Bobo: "???" What kind of trick was this? Playing tag inside the enemy's wing? And wasn't Batman paralyzed?

Su Ming had no time to explain because the Reaper's scythe was swinging towards him.

He dodged sideways, feeling the massive black-bladed scythe brush past, like a subway train roaring just past the tip of his nose.

There was no whoosh, just the chilling speed against his skin.

If it were Su Ming making a Reaper like Hecate did, he'd make it very tiny—preferably invisible.

If he wanted to use a Reaper to kill, he'd do it like in Final Destination—no one would even know where the enemy was when they died.

But with a giant creature like this, of course, it had the upper hand against other giant creatures.

Yet against a small target like a human, other than being scary, it wasn't very effective.

Last time, Su Ming crawled into Barbatos's stomach to slice his innards—a tactic that worked well, even if it was disgusting.

So this time, he chose a slightly cleaner tactic.

Of course, being covered head-to-toe in black blood was still unavoidable.

But ever since getting Stranglehold, he no longer had to clean his armor himself—whether it was flesh chunks or organs, Stranglehold always ate it all up cleanly.

"Trying to cut me down isn't going to work. Take a break!"

Holding the flexible Godkiller sword in one hand, Su Ming pulled out the Duskblade with his other hand and swung it at the Reaper's fingers.

The Reaper's fingers were like bird claws—equally black and thicker than the oil tanks on a tanker truck.

Even if he couldn't sever its fingers, he needed to teach it a lesson. Su Ming swung the blade, slicing off one of its curved nails.

"Aargh!!! Damn mortal!"

"Heh, you're probably the shortest-lived god in history."

Su Ming didn't say much more; the Cloak took him into a nosedive, skimming along the desert and kicking up a cloud of yellow sand, obscuring the Reaper's vision.

This thing only had the title of "Reaper." It had no souls under its control, and Hecate had no extra power to grant it, which meant this new god was at its weakest stage.

Given their opposing sides, Su Ming was determined to completely eliminate it.

He weaved through the yellow sand, the Cloak taking him once more to the Reaper's back.

Amidst screams, he reached his tactical goal once again, leaving the Reaper to squirm helplessly on the sand dunes like a worm.

The Reaper was too heavy, and its bird feet couldn't distribute its weight properly, causing it to sink deeply into the dunes. The more it struggled, the deeper it sank.

And any potential footholds like pyramids or obelisks had already been dismantled by Barry.

With the field magic ineffective, the Reaper on the ground was no better than a chicken.

Su Ming observed coldly for a while, the Batman disguise fading from him. He turned his head and shouted.

"Barry? Are you done over there?"

"Yeah, but I'm so tired. Can I grab a bite to eat first?" Barry looked exhausted, practically sticking out his tongue—speed didn't mean limitless stamina, after all.

"Oh, be quick... alright?" Su Ming nodded, indicating he could wait for a few tenths of a second.

"Done, but eating pizza all the time feels like it's going to make me go bald... Was that how you imitated Batman last time? I heard you found a new way to keep Gotham quiet?"

The Flash returned in a flash, wiping his mouth.

"It's a shame Batman doesn't plan to adopt my method... But never mind. See those wings? Contact Colonel Sanders later and have him make you some jumbo chicken wings."

Su Ming patted Barry on the shoulder, signaling him to activate Speed Force—it was time to finish off this so-called god.

Barry rolled his eyes, shook his head, and reluctantly let Su Ming climb onto his shoulder.

Those wings dripping black liquid—who would dare to eat that?!
