MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1083 After the Assembly

1083  After the Assembly

"Well… that turned out better than I thought."

As he and Mystia made their way to another part of the Imperial Production Guild, Valyr had a content smile on his face as he looked back at the things that happened in the meeting just earlier.

With how Julian had been pushing for his proposal to the other directors for so long, it went without saying that everything became smooth sailing the moment Valyr showed his armor for everyone to see.

On the other hand, the young man's own proposal had a few hiccups here and there, considering how not a lot of people there believed that he was the first to forge the arquebus rather than Vylhalteinn.

Though, with the help of a couple people, as well as the appearances of a few personalities that would've not given the directors the light of day usually, such thoughts were eventually turned around.

Even more so when Valyr showcased his own arquebus in action.

Seeing the amount of damage his arquebus dealt to the training dummy, many of the directors immediately compared it to the damage dealt by the ranged weapon Vylhalteinn distributed in the frontlines.

Then again, it did not take long for them to come to the conclusion that Hal's arquebus far paled in comparison to Valyr's, especially after he gave them the permission to take a look at his arquebus' stats in detail.

Unsurprisingly, almost every director that identified Valyr's arquebus looked at its stats with widened eyes, looking at the young man with both greed and awe as they all wanted to know how a weapon like that could achieve an immensely high Attack stat.

Because of that, Valyr's proposal of distributing the arquebus throughout the frontlines was met with overwhelming approval.

In fact, he was even met with the cheers of some of the directors after he told them that he was planning to share his blueprints on the arquebus as well.

"To be honest, with how well that proposal went, I feel like you didn't even need my presence there." Responding to Valyr's words, Mystia looked at the young man with a smile.

"Sure, you could say that," said the young man after a bit of thinking, only to shrug his shoulders soon after. "But we both know that your presence definitely made them certain. After all, if you think about it, who would be stupid to decline the proposal of the Imperial Alchemist's disciple?"

"Truly the wonders reputation can only achieve," replied Mystia with a chuckle, prompting her to briefly think about the meeting as well. "Speaking of which, how did the talk with Alvin and those military officials go?"

At those words, Valyr briefly stopped in his tracks, his mind returning to the end of the meeting.

Though many of the proposals the other directors gave after them were interesting, with some of even being approved by the military officials, it had become obvious that many of the directors had lost their interest after what Valyr and Julian showed them.

In fact, some of them had even discussed Ylvar in detail while the other proposals were happening, prompting Julian to tease the young man that his alternate identity would become popular once again.

Unfortunately for Julian, Valyr more than welcomed the attention his alternate identity he received, telling Julian that it would make a lot of things easier for him in the long run.

With their objectives complete, the two listened intently to all of the remaining proposals as a show of respect, inwardly letting out a sigh of relief as Elder Alvin eventually concluded the War Forge Assembly.

Considering that Mystia came to help him out at the meeting, Valyr decided to take it as an opportunity to talk to her about the Intent he needed to comprehend for his plans, with Julian agreeing that he needed to talk to her more.

Though, just as the two had parted ways, Elder Alvin and the two military officials appeared before the young man, wanting to talk about the proposals he and Julian gave during the meeting in detail.

Recalling the things he and the other three talked about, Valyr could not help but smile once more as he continued walking.

"It went well," replied Valyr. "Elder Alvin and I have decided to discuss the conditions behind the two proposals we gave on another day, while the two military officials asked me if it was possible to implement them within the week."

"Sounds like you have a tall order waiting for you on the second one," said Mystia, to which the young man nodded in agreement. "As for the first one, it's only right that you're putting down conditions before you give them blueprints."

"Just like the blueprints a blacksmith creates, the recipe to an alchemist's concoction could be considered their lifeblood."

Continuing to walk through the corridors of the Imperial Production Guild, the two decided to talk more about the conditions Valyr planned on accepting in exchange for the blueprints he aimed on sharing.

Seeing as the one he was talking to was an imperial adviser for the empire, it went without saying that Valyr asked Mystia to help him set conditions that would allow him to benefit as much as possible from the exchange.

In the end, Mystia gave him a couple of pieces of advice on what to set and what not to set as conditions for something massive like what he planned on doing.

"After all, keep in mind that you're setting down conditions with the Blacksmith Guild," Mystia reminded Valyr. "Not just a person from the Blacksmith Guild. Not just a branch."

"The entire Blacksmith Guild."

Nodding as he committed everything Mystia told him to memory, it did not take long for the two of them to arrive at a vacant hall within the Imperial Production Guild.

Recalling the look of surprise and embarrassment on the others' faces when the two asked if they could occupy a hall within the guild for the meantime, Valyr inwardly chuckled at the thoughts going in their minds as the two headed in.

"So, what do you want to talk about?" Grabbing a couple of chairs for them to sit on, Mystia took in a deep breath before looking at the young man with a raised eyebrow.

"Remember the message I sent to you before the meeting?" asked Valyr as he took in a calming breath of his own. "The one regarding the Intent of Mystic Energy."

"Yeah?" Mystia nodded after thinking about it. "If I remember correctly, you said you wanted me to teach you how to comprehend it for a couple plans you had in mind."

"What are those plans exactly?" asked Mystia soon after, her gaze towards the young man immensely curious.

Pondering over a couple of things for a bit, Valyr eventually showed her a glimpse into his plans as he manifested a strand of blue-white energy in front of her.

"Well… it involves this."
