I Only Tame Dragons

Chapter 121 Graveyard of Leaders

"Thank you?" Velvet sneered, her voice dripping with venom as she glared at Horizon.

"You're welcome," Horizon answered smoothly, unfazed by the tension building in the air.

"Wha–! That's not what I meant!" Velvet growled, stomping her foot in frustration. Her hands clenched around her weapon, the intensity of her gaze could kill. "What I want from you is an apology. You used us back there! Are you even a man?"

Dawnfire, with her imposing presence, crossed her arms and smirked, pushing her chest forward from the tight confines of her armor. "Do you even know who you're messing with?"

Velvet's eyes were burning with anger as she drew her weapon and licked the edge of the blade, her gaze never leaving Horizon. "Let's just kill him."

Horizon remained unfazed, his stoic expression never changed. Nyx, perched on his head, hissed, her body coiling in preparation to strike, her eyes glinting with deadly intent.

"Wait." Seraphina's voice rang out, sharp and commanding, as she stepped forward. Her eyes swept over Damon, David, and Ford—his undead army that stood at attention behind him.

The rest of the women paused, their eyes landing on the three corpses. Horror flickered across their faces, and one by one, they took a hesitant step back.

"Y-you! What did you do to them?" Aria gasped, her voice trembling with disbelief as she looked from the bodies to Horizon.

Fiora recoiled, holding her stomach, as though the very sight of the corpses twisted something deep within her. She fought to keep her composure, but the unease was evident on her face.

"Y-you . . . ?" Velvet's voice trailed off, her blade trembling in her hand as she pointed it at Horizon.

He seemed different now, something darker and primal. It was like the man before her was no longer just a threat—he was a danger that needed to be eliminated.

Horizon met her gaze, his lips curling into a cold smile. "What? A first-rate guild, seeing a walking corpse for the first time?" Your journey continues with empire

Seraphina's voice was steady, but her eyes were sharp. "They belonged to Nightshade and Iron Fist. They were their leaders," she said. "What did you do to them?"

Horizon locked eyes with Seraphina. His gaze remained calm, but there was a glint of something dangerous lurking beneath it. It seemed like he would have to kill them if it came to that.

"Are you really asking the obvious right now?" he question, his voice cool and detached.

Velvet's grip on her weapon tightened as she stepped forward, her anger boiling over. "You—just answer the goddamn question!"

Horizon raised an eyebrow. "And why would I have to do that? Who are you to demand answers from me?"

For a moment, the tension hung thick in the air. Velvet ground her teeth, glaring at him with pure fury, but she couldn't find words to challenge his indifference.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

Dawnfire stepped in with an air of authority. "We're Wingless Valkyrie," she said, her voice cutting through the growing tension. "Not that an independent nobody like you could really know our reputation."

Horizon's smirk grew wider, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Are you really saying that to the one who killed the leaders of those three guilds?" he asked, his words sharp and cutting.

The five women all turned their gaze back to the corpses. Damon, David, and Ford. Though their guilds had been much weaker compared to Wingless Valkyrie, the three men were no slouches. Their stats ranged from 400 to 500—still impressive.

Yet here they were, lifeless, brought down by Horizon, a single player from an unknown group.

Just who was this man standing before them?

Fiora, visibly shaken, took a step back, her hands trembling. "L-let's just go . . ." she stammered, unable to meet Horizon's piercing gaze.

She sensed that Horizon was far more dangerous than he appeared to be. If he could take down three leaders with stats in the 400-500 range by himself, then he was a force to be reckoned with—someone far beyond the simple rogue he seemed to be.

He was dangerous and it was best if they didn't associate with him any longer.

Seraphina, however, remained unmoved, her eyes steady as she looked directly at Horizon. There was no fear in her expression, no hesitation.

Instead, she was composed—calm, even. She seemed to be the only one in the group who wasn't rattled by the deadly air surrounding him.

"Are you a necromancer?" she asked casually, her voice measured and serious.

For a brief moment, Horizon didn't answer. He simply watched her, his expression unreadable. But there was something in her eyes—something that made him pause. She wasn't scared of him, not in the way the others were. She was cautious, yes, but also fearless, rational and calm.

Even with the three corpses at his side, she remained unshaken. Her expression was a mask of composure, betraying no hint of fear or hesitation. It was a level of control that likely earned her a high rank in the Wingless Valkyries.

She wasn't one to be rattled easily—an intimidating trait that marked her as a true leader among her peers.

On the other hand, Seraphina knew Horizon didn't want to fight them. If he had, he would have attacked them before they even got close. The fact that he hadn't yet acted spoke volumes.

Seraphina could sense that Horizon was the type to avoid wasting time or resources on a pointless fight, just like her. This understanding could work to her advantage, knowing that if they played their cards right, they could form partnership and get out of here together.

Though Horizon exuded danger, there was no denying his immense strength if he really did defeat Damon, David, and Ford. If they could somehow bring a player like him to their side, it would be an unmatched advantage. Harnessing his power was the best course of action right now.

"I'm no necromancer," Horizon replied finally, his voice cold as steel. "But if that's what you need to believe, then so be it."
