Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 1014 A terrifying female wizard

From MC's Perspective:

I went to the control room after taking a bath and dressing casually. I am not sure what is going on outside. So I kept my gaze fixed on the control mirror.

Seeing how the cabin was nearly full of goods. I chose to appear outside.

Swoosh!

Then I walked towards the door. I am not sure if this is due to physical improvement or something else. I can hear other people's conversations.

My brow furrowed while I listened. Because their conversations indicate that something bad is happening outside. The workers are panicking.

For a moment, I hesitated. Whether to walk away or not. Air ships are usually accompanied by protectors to ensure their safety. I believe this is also true for the Merchant Alliance Air ship.

I decided to wait here after getting some clarity in my thoughts.

Boom!

Stay tuned with empire

Not long after, a huge explosion occurs in the Air ship. I was taken aback for a moment because it happened so quickly.

"Who is attacking the Merchant Alliance Air Ship?" I asked myself.

I can feel the Air Ship descending. The workers are yelling and screaming outside. I really want to look into the situation. But what if a Peak Wizard spotted me? Then there is no going back. It will become difficult to survive.

Swoosh!

With a thought, I returned to the Gregor Mansion.

Outside,

As the airship descends, it emits a dark smoke. The workers are low-level wizards. They can get out of this situation if they are careful.

However, they had to abandon the damaged airship first.

Captain Howland is doing his best to limit the damage. He is steering carefully so that the airship receives as little impact as possible.

"Damn it!"

"Those #@$$# ," He cursed out under his breath.

As he had feared. People are currently following the airship. Not only that, but some people fired at them just moments ago.

"I hope Elder can handle it," He said in a bitter tone.

But he knows the elders will be powerless against a group of wizards as powerful as him.

The white-bearded old man is not far from the Airship and is looking at the stalking Air Ships with fear.

He had learned what had happened from Howland. He did not witness the Strange Phenomenon. A friend invited him to tea at the time.

He, like Howland, suspected the presence of a Magic Artifact among their stored goods. But Manager Antony has denied it.

The old man is unsure whether this is true or not. However, it is impossible to explain their situation to outsiders.

On the other hand, the various Air Ships have slowed their speed following their successful firing on the Merchant Alliance Air Ship.

A wizard on a certain airship noticed an old man blocking their path. He sneered internally. They had already decided what would happen to everyone on that ship.

A few minutes later,

The Merchant Alliance Air ship was close to crashing on the ground. As many as workers have jumped off from the ship when it was attacked.

But still there are others who were left out because of fear.

Captain Howland ignored their actions. He would do the same in their place. But unlike them, he doesn't have the luxury to flee.

He and the elder had to face them until the end.

A moment later,

Boom!

The airship crashes to the ground. The following moment, the entire Air Ship was engulfed in fire. The workers who were left behind are attempting to flee amidst the screams and tears.

Captain Howland emerges from the flames and approaches the elder, who is standing in midair.

"Elder?" Howland greeted.

The old man nodded before saying, "I am not sure whose trickery this is. But we are paying for it."

Howland's expression was grave. He is starting to think it's the work of rival organizations. But they don't have time to dwell on it.

The old man asked,"Have you informed Antony?"

Howland responded, "He wants us to defend the Airship until the last minute."

"Harumph"

"The goods will turn to ashes in minutes. If we confront them, they might believe we are hiding a Magic Artifact," the old man said.

"What should we do now?" Howland asked.

"Let us try talking to them," the old man replied.

On the other hand, the different Air Ships came to a halt not far away from them.

The following moment, several silhouettes emerge from the Air Ships. They are all dressed in the uniforms of their respective organizations. They also wear an emblem on their chest that indicates which organization they belong to.

"It is bad. They are not adventurers. But from a particular force," Howland said in his heart.

Swoosh!

A beautiful woman wearing purple clothes took the lead and appeared before them. Her long hair and eyes are purple in color matching her clothes.

She enthusiastically looks at the burning Air Ship before shifting her gaze to both of them.

She said, "I assume either of you is carrying the Magic Artifact."

There are also people standing behind her, waiting for the answers.

"F@ck!" Howland cursed internally. He broke out in a cold sweat. He does not believe the Elder can persuade them with his words.

"Ahem, Miss. I hope you can give us a minute to explain. We do not carry any Magic Artifacts. Someone must have spread some false rumors about us." The old man spoke in a polite tone.

Puchak!

There was utter silence. However, the old man's eyes are filled with terror. He was unable to speak. Because there is a small bloodstain on his neck.

Howland knitted his brows. He turns to look at the elder, only to discover that his head has been removed from his neck.

Blood drained from Howland's face. No one saw the purple-clad women casting a spell. His entire body trembled with fear.

Before the purple-clad women spoke. Someone went from behind to grab the elder's body. At the same time, people are tracking down the escaped workers.

The Magic Artifact can be carried by the workers. These people do not want to leave any options.

Her eyes then shifted to Howland.

She stated, "I hope you will not waste your words."

Howland ran away as quickly as he could. However, after only a few steps, his body was cleaved into several parts.

He had no idea how he died until the very last moment.

Even at this point, no one saw her cast the magic spell.

"Boring," she said in a low tone before returning to the ship. Her people went to get the mutilated body. They are going to look for the artifact.

Wails, screams, and cries are heard throughout the area. But these people will not let any of them leave. Although their actions may be excessive. They are still attempting to destroy all evidence.

These types of hunting and killing occur occasionally on both sides of the border. As long as there is no evidence, everyone will ignore these injustices.

It is a world where the strong eat the weak. Forget about normal humans; there is no protection for low-level wizards.

However, if compelling evidence exists, any government can use it to blackmail the hostile country. So these high-ranking wizards know the truth.

Meanwhile,

"What was that?" I asked myself.

I watched the entire drama unfold through the control mirror. But the purple-clad women's attack stunned me.

A hint of seriousness appeared in my eyes.

"She spoke to him casually. The next thing I knew, he was decapitated," I thought to myself.

There was not even a split second between the attacks. What type of Magic was that? The Bright Nation, like other nations, was closed to the outside world. There is less information available about their top forces on the internet.

The world is incredibly large. People with various kinds of magic are present. I should proceed cautiously and never let down my guard.

But I still do not know why they attacked. They were talking about Artifacts earlier. I doubt anyone would be stupid enough to transport Artifact on this Airship.

The Airship has now been destroyed. I should look for other modes of transportation. But I am going to wait until night falls.

30 minutes later,

The purple-clad woman stands in her customized Airship.

A middle-aged man wearing a mask bowed to her.

"Young Miss, we discovered no traces of Artifacts," he said.

She inquired, "Are those intel truly false? However, people did witness the strange phenomenon that appeared above that Airship."

The middle-aged man stayed silent. He heard the same thing. But he is not a scholar.

"Well, turn the ship around and return home. I am tired of wasting my time here," she said.

The middle-aged man then vanished from the scene. Her gaze then fell on the destroyed airship. There are still parts of the ship on fire.

After one final look, she returns to her cabin.

Several minutes later,

Others followed suit after seeing her ship leave. They came for nothing in the end.
