Chapter 385 Junior Sister Wei

*Boom!*

*Splash!*

"Arghh!!!" From the ship, Noah and Ruo'er watched the beautiful sight of a volcano erupting. The debris from the explosion contained charred corpses among several other things.

The screams of the people fused with the lava spread all over the area.

The protective array on the ship shielded it from the splashes of magma.

"Are you okay?" Ruo'er snapped out of her bewilderment and approached Noah, scanning his body with concern.

Seeing the look of worry in her eyes, Noah smiled slightly. "I am fine. I placed that seal before we walked inside the place."

"Seal?" Ruo'er tilted her head in confusion but in her mind, she was amazed, realizing how far ahead Noah had been thinking.

Realizing that she did not know about seals, Noah shook his head in dismissal. "Let's leave this place. We have to return to the sect."

Noah gave the mountain covered in lava one last look before glancing at Song Liu lying on the floor.

*Woosh!*

The ship shook before moving forward, passing through a huge hole that appeared in the air out of nowhere. It disappeared into the wind.

Back at the volcano, after the magma killed everyone inside, it moved. The molten lava started to gather in a place over the mountains and formed some letters.

*Shatter!*

"Junior sister?!" Standing in a room specialized for alchemy, a group of young cultivators rushed towards the girl who had crushed the bottle of medicine in her hands.

The girl they were calling 'junior sister' seemed to be in a state of trance. Her head was lowered, causing her hair to hide her expression.

Blood dripped down from the hand she was holding the bottle with. Shards of the broken bottle were still in her hands.

"Junior sister Wei?" A young man approached the girl and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"Oh, it's nothing. Can you remove your hand, senior brother?" The coldness in her voice sent shivers down the boy's spine. He hurriedly took his hand back. "I am sorry about that, I was just lost in some thought. I wasted such precious medicines. I will take a break."

"That's... I think that's for the best." His voice quivered, causing the others around them to snicker at him.

"I wonder what happened to Junior sister to get like that?"

"Yeah, I have never seen her sad or angry. Someone as cheery as Junior Sister Wei must also have some problems of her own." Seeing her walking away from the room, everyone present in the hall started to mutter about her.

'Junior Sister Wei' walked out of the room and made her way towards the area where the living quarters of the disciples were established.

*Clang!*

Walking inside her room, she closed the door. The sweet smile on the woman's face vanished without a trace, replaced by a cold look.

She looked at her hand and saw a mark appearing on it. The mark looked like a disc with weird patterns. The thing that got her riled up was that there was a huge crack in the middle.

"Someone broke into the hideout…" The chilling hint in her voice even caused the air around her to freeze.

With a wave of her hand, she pulled out a yellow paper and channeled her qi through it.

But after a second, the glow of the paper faded without any response. She took out another paper and did the same. No matter how many times she tried, the outcome remained the same.

It wasn't until the last paper she brought out that she heard a voice coming from it.

"Yes, master?" The voice belonged to one of the elders of the Alchemy sect that had been infiltrated by the members of the Red Dawn Cult.

"Something happened at the base. Find a way to go there and check what happened."

"Y-yes, master!" As if feeling the anger in her voice, the voice on the other side of the talisman quivered a little.

After cutting off the connection, the woman clenched the talisman in her hand, looking into the distance.

"No matter who you are, I will make sure you suffer like you never have!" Continue your saga on empire

Standing in the ship flying miles high up in the air, Ruo'er looked down at Song Liu, her eyes filled with an array of different emotions. There was also a hint of curiosity about the girl she had never met before in her life.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Even though she had never met Song Liu, she could tell that Wuhan cared for her.

"I wonder how he would take it?" she muttered to herself before taking a seat beside the girl.

"You seem to care about Wuhan a lot, even though you have just recently met him," Noah remarked with a small smile on his face.

Ruo'er rolled her eyes at his words. But then she leaned her head on her buckled knees and opened her mouth to speak.

"It was the first time I met someone who was related to my grandfather, and he also treated him as his own disciple. Even though he doesn't want to admit it, I am sure he is proud of him. I don't want to see both of them sad."

"I am sure he would be jumping on his feet to know that," Noah smiled slightly, imagining the relieved look on his friend's face. Just then, he sensed something and turned his head towards Shisan.

Her eyes fluttered, showing signs of her awakening. Noah glanced towards Song Liu, bound in illusionary ropes and chains, sighing as he walked towards Shisan.

"What are you doing?" Ruo'er raised her eyebrows, seeing Noah doing something very suspicious.

Walking towards the veiled woman, Noah tilted her body to the side before placing his hand on her head.

Since Ruo'er could not see the seal in his hand, it just looked like Noah was caressing her head.

"If she wakes up now, it will be troublesome." Noah shrugged as he watched the restless Shisan return to sleep. "So I am making sure that does not happen."
