Chapter 6076: Yangrune, Prepare For Death
Yangrune was one of the ten emperors of Immortal Suppression, an apex emperor only second to Allmountain.
Everyone realized that he was the one who summoned Darkmoon Temple.
“What is his obsession?” A big shot murmured.
Only strong thoughts and obsessions could invoke echoes in the forest. This wasn’t guaranteed to be accurate but most found it plausible.
Despite being another of the ten great temples, Darkmoon rarely appeared relative to its peer, Money Temple.
It only showed up a few times in the last eras and now, Yangrune successfully called it out.
“He’s wounded, Unrivalled Monarch nearly killed him.” A desolate god revealed.
“Yes, a conflict between Immortal Suppression and Enigma. He tried to kill Six-style Emperor so she self-imploded. This alerted Unrivalled Monarch and forced her to beat him down.” A spectator said.
“I see.” Listeners understood why Yangrune wanted to summon the temple - an attempt to heal his serious injuries.
“Clank!” As he walked toward the temple, a sword hum erupted like a bell. Rampaging sword energies pricked everyone regardless of their location.
“So overbearing.” They became surprised.
“Yangrune, prepare for death.” A domineering voice echoed across the region.
“Boom!” The speaker didn’t hold back so his aura sent people flying and vomiting blood.
“Who is it?” Everyone became afraid.
Who would dare to challenge an apex emperor from Immortal Suppression?
An inferno imbued with lightning crackles crossed through the sky, looking like a red heavenly tribulation.
“Brother Disaster.” Six-style remarked after seeing the soaring inferno.
“Clank!” The newcomer stood before Darkmoon Temple, preventing Yangrune from getting inside.
The young swordsman had an imposing aura with lightning bolts within his eyes. His gray hair only served to accentuate his unique aura, looking like a white-haired sword god.
“Disaster Emperor!” Many recognized him immediately.
“From Enigma, an exceptional genius.” A desolate god said.
He was a half-step apex emperor, only slightly older than Six-style. He was known as a sword genius with incredible cultivation speed. Some said his gray hair was due to his obsession with the sword dao.
Seeing him today surprised everyone because he spent all of his time training with the sword. Only a few from Enigma had the privilege of meeting him.
“What do you want, Disaster?” Yangrune had a golden glow in his eyes.
“Blood for blood, I shall avenge Junior Sister Six-style.” Disaster’s response was as direct as his action.
“Are you my match?” Yangrune said coldly while facing the opponent. His aura erupted and forced many to the ground.
“Clank!” Disaster activated his fire-lightning sword dao, successfully repelling the incoming waves of energy.
“Yangrune, I cannot defeat you under normal circumstances, but let’s not forget your grievous injuries. Today is your last.” Disaster’s white hair fluttered to the wind.
“He’s a hot-blooded youth alright.” A spectator whispered.
His reckless bloodthirst seemed out of character for an emperor. Nevertheless, this fiery temperament was also admirable - still passionate and unrestrained.
“Oh? A loyal friend.” Li Qiye looked up and said.
“Brother Disaster treats everyone as family.” Six-style said sentimentally.
The emperors in Enigma didn’t hail from the same sect and clan. Six-style came from an aristocratic family, Dragonform came from the Ouyang, and Disaster had a different background…n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Moreover, their ages varied greatly. Some had lived for eras while others had only been around for a thousand years or so. Their relationship was not deep, only united by their affiliation with Enigma.
For example, Dragonform offered no help to Six-style and only warned her briefly. He also never thought about avenging her.
Disaster was different and immediately left his isolated cultivation upon hearing the terrible news.
All eyes were on Yangrune; many thought Disaster was right. Although Disaster was only a half-step, the difference in cultivation wasn’t insurmountable.
