Chapter 651: End of One Punch Man

Chapter 651: End of One Punch Man

Fang Mo defeated Saitama in their sparring match and set Mars ablaze.

It sounds like a strenuous task, but in reality, it only took him less than half an hour.

Finding Saitama, however, took Fang Mo much longer than defeating him.

It's important to understand that in the vastness of outer space, distances are measured in light years. While the solar system isn't that exaggerated, it's still far beyond the reach of Fang Mo's biological radar.

Thus, he had no choice but to search all over, even enlisting the help of the unfortunate laborer, Ancient One.

Fortunately, the magic from Kamar-Taj proved useful for finding people.

The two of them searched for several hours.

Finally, they found Saitama among the remnants of a debris field.

At this point, his injuries had completely healed, and he was lying naked on a rock, staring blankly.

This debris field was actually some distance from the battlefield. However, given Saitama's strength, he could have returned to Earth by himself, using the traditional method of jumping from one asteroid to another.

But perhaps he trusted Fang Mo.

Or maybe he was worried his sense of direction would fail him halfway.

In any case, Saitama didn't return by himself but waited quietly for Fang Mo, even waving happily when he saw Fang Mo flying over.

So, Fang Mo waved his hand and pulled him back into the pure white space, and conveniently changed his clothes.

"Oh, back already?"

After the sparring session, Saitama seemed to be in a very good mood. He turned to Fang Mo and said, "Your strength is indeed great... but you hit too hard. I think I passed out."

"Are you serious?"

Fang Mo couldn't help but retort, "That shovel of mine can demolish a planet, something no carbon-based life form can withstand, and you just fainted for a bit?"

"Haha, I don't know what happened."

Saitama scratched his head, reverting to his humorous style: "But since I passed out... that means you won this spar, right? It's a pity though, I hadn't had enough fun."

"Not enough fun?"

Hearing this, Fang Mo couldn't help but hold his forehead.

He had to admit, Saitama was quite the freak. Judging from his tone, he seemed to think Fang Mo shouldn't have used his ultimate move right away and should have let the fight go on longer.

But the problem is...

Once Saitama starts fighting, he just keeps getting stronger.

He might not realize this himself, but Fang Mo, with his omniscient perspective, knew what happened in the original story. If he really listened to Saitama, what would happen then?

"Anyway, let's talk about it next time."

After thinking it over, Fang Mo decided to brush him off.

"Really?"

Saitama didn't doubt him and seemed rather happy: "Great, make sure to find me next time."

"...Will you come back next time?"

Hearing their conversation, Tatsumaki turned to look at Fang Mo: "So, will there be more world-ending disasters in this world?"

"It's unrelated to that."

Since he was about to leave this world, Fang Mo didn't bother to keep up the act and came clean: "Those previous identities, the ancient guardian, the priest, were all made up. I'm just here on vacation."

"...Vacation?"

Tatsumaki's expression became visibly strange upon hearing this.

Her first impression was that it sounded like an unreliable excuse, but somehow she felt it was the truth.

"Mr. Fang Mo, what do you mean by 'vacation'?" At this point, the curious Genos couldn't help but ask, "Is the Archon you mentioned fake? And your priestly powers... were they not bestowed by the Archon?"

"Vacation is just as it sounds."

Fang Mo shrugged: "You guys are familiar with parallel universe theory, right? There isn't just one world or universe, and I come from another world. That's all there is to it."

"As for the powers you mentioned... sorry, I'm just that strong. There's no explanation. Isn't your Saitama-sensei also god-like in strength?"

"..."

Genos pondered over this and nodded thoughtfully.

"Alright, enough with the nonsense."

Fang Mo waved his hand and walked directly towards the quartz door not far away. Opening the door, he said, "I still need to find my shovel. You all should head back now."

"Are we leaving already?" Saitama asked, "It's still early, isn't it?"

"It's not early at all, big brother," Fang Mo rolled his eyes and said, "It's almost midnight. If we don't go back soon, KING will be asleep, and you'll disturb him..."

"And after you find that shovel?" Tatsumaki asked, "Will you wait here until dawn?"

"No, I'll leave as soon as I find it," Fang Mo waved his hand. "The Association will probably bother me again tomorrow. I'm almost done here and don't want to deal with them tomorrow."

"Alright then," Tatsumaki nodded and then glanced at Fubuki before saying, "Anyway, thank you."

"Expressing gratitude should come with showing some cleavage, it's common sense," Fang Mo looked at Tatsumaki unexpectedly, but still didn't let her off, "Oh... sorry, I forgot, you don't have any."

"You're looking for death, are you crazy!" Tatsumaki exploded and charged at him.

At that moment, Fang Mo smiled and snapped his fingers, activating his dimensional authority. "Alright everyone, it's time to say goodbye. Thank you for your hospitality. Until we meet again."

With a thought, Fang Mo expelled them from his domain.

A flash of white light.

Everyone returned to KING's apartment. Looking up, there was no trace of the quartz door on the wall.

Everyone was still in a daze, as if Fang Mo's annoying voice was still echoing around them, but everything had vanished.

It felt like everything they had experienced was a hallucination.

But they knew clearly it wasn't.

Saitama touched his stomach where the Planet Eater Shovel had hit; it had healed but left a faint scar.

Tatsumaki glanced at Fubuki and tugged at her skirt.

At least her feelings with her sister, and this pair of safety pants, were undeniable proofs of that jerk's existence.

Leaving aside the thoughts of everyone in the apartment.

The scene returned to Fang Mo.

"Whew..." After sending everyone away, Fang Mo sighed in relief. "It's finally over."

He couldn't help but sigh, as he had stayed in One Punch Man for a long time, essentially completing the whole journey.

After interacting with so many people here, Fang Mo found that his mindset had changed somewhat.

Before coming here, Fang Mo felt like he was on the verge of breaking down.

If this had been during the mid-Marvel period, he might have done something very extreme, like he did earlier in X-Men.

Confronting his origin point, Fang Mo had played the fool with a smile.

But after bringing his partner over... Fang Mo surprisingly found himself in a much better mood, even considering having kids, which was unthinkable before. He used to only have aggressive feelings towards children.

No matter the time, having someone who understands all your jokes is truly wonderful.

"It's over?" Just as Fang Mo was feeling nostalgic, the Ancient One slowly approached and, like a devil, reminded him, "It's not over yet, have you found your shovel?"

"Damn you, vile old woman."

Upon hearing this, Fang Mo immediately felt a headache coming on again. "Who exactly is Karma to you? Why do I suddenly feel so enraged..."

"I don't know her," Ancient One replied in a very calm tone.

She walked to the distance, took down the banner that read 'Warmly Celebrate the Priest's Resignation,' rolled it up, and put it into a portal. It was clear that Fang Mo had guessed correctly. This outrageous banner was custom-made by Ancient One herself.

Fang Mo took a deep breath and decided not to argue further with her. After all, retrieving the Planet Eater Shovel was indeed urgent. The longer he delayed, the further it would drift away, and he would truly have no way of finding it.

Without further ado, Fang Mo opened a portal and stepped through it. Although his blocky portals were not very accurate, in the vastness of space, a deviation of several hundred kilometers was trivial, so he didn't mind.

Searching for the Planet Eater Shovel, Fang Mo found, was even more troublesome than looking for Saitama. At least Saitama was a person, making the target somewhat obvious, and his biological radar could pick him up once in range. The shovel, on the other hand, was just an object. If it got stuck in a meteor or fell into the atmosphere of Jupiter or Saturn, how could he possibly find it?

In fact, Fang Mo's fears were confirmed. He explored the ruins of his battle with Saitama and flew aimlessly through space for several hours but found no trace of his shovel. He even searched several other planets without success.

Eventually, Fang Mo considered using a time-reversal ritual to rewind Mars and retrieve the shovel he had launched. However, reversing time over such a large area was quite troublesome. Even Ancient One admitted that her Kamar-Taj magic could only search for living beings, like Saitama. The Planet Eater Shovel, although made of special materials, did not interact with its surroundings once launched. It neither emitted nor absorbed energy, making it impossible to find using magic.

In the end, Fang Mo resorted to using a bunch of technological devices to find the shovel. Among these devices was a cosmic battleship he had previously confiscated. Asking around, he found that Boros' battleship had a highly advanced search radar. Fang Mo didn't understand the principles, but apparently, it could scan for materials like a dog sniffing for scents.

He took out his Longbow of the Heavens for the radar to scan, though the device initially showed a lot of errors and false alarms. This gave Fang Mo an idea, so he inserted his Supreme Intelligence Sword into the spaceship's system, which worked somewhat successfully.

After searching for several more hours, Fang Mo finally found the Planet Eater Shovel. It had lodged itself onto a large meteor near Neptune, drifting away from the solar system. Finding it in this condition was no easy task.

Having finally retrieved the shovel, Fang Mo breathed a sigh of relief. "Good, good," he said, looking at the recovered shovel. He quickly took out his Anvil and applied an enchantment of loyalty to the shovel. The anvil sounded twice, and the shovel glowed with a lustrous purple-gold sheen.

Originally, Fang Mo wanted to give the shovel an Ender feature, similar to his other weapons, allowing him to teleport to it like the Flying Thunder God technique. However, the Ender feature came from the Tinkers' Construct mod, while the Planet Eater Shovel was a tool from the Avaritia mod, and the two were incompatible. After much tinkering in his workshop, he still failed.

"Forget it... let's not worry about it for now." Seeing the failure, Fang Mo didn't feel too frustrated. In fact, he was in a good mood because he was about to return to the main world, where a significant event awaited him.

Although he couldn't discuss the details here, it didn't dampen his excitement, as it didn't affect him much. He quickly summoned his stand, Steve, who right-clicked and opened the Linking Book. Black mist rose from the book's pages, enveloping him and transporting him away.
